I like this book because it contains so much information on the New Martinsville Glass Manufacturing Company in the years 1901--1938 and the New Martinville Glass Company from 1938 to 1944 when the name was changed to Viking Glass Company. It is compiled from Addie and Everett Miller's research of old catalogs and records and other published material from the original time periods. The author is definately James Measell--not the Millers. I found it confusing that the chapters are divided both by time periods (years) and by general manager (people) periods. The book contains hundreds of reprinted catalog pages. The Color Plates pages are disappointing. I think most people are looking for picture pages similar to Berry Wiggins's and James Measell's GREAT AMERICAN GLASS OF THE ROARING 20S & DEPRESSION ERA, books 1 and 2. On the positive side, this book is a wonderful narrative of every pattern, color, and period of glass that was ever produced by New Martinsville. It is the best resource available for information on New Martinsville glass.
