A New Leaf (VHS)

I bid and won A New Leaf twice and twice I got ripped off. The first time was from a Canadian vendor and she never sent me my tape. Her excuse was that she got mixed up with all the tapes she was sending out.
The second was to a vendor in the U.S. who sent me the VHS but the only thing right about it was the cover it came in. It said A New Leaf and that was on the VHS too, but the film WAS NOT A NEW LEAF. It was some kind of old time western film. Both vendors took their names off the eBay sellers' list and I lost my money both times. Now I look closely at the rating before I bid. So far, I still don't have the film and don't like the rating of the vendors who are selling the film. I'm thoroughly disgusted with the film section of eBay. All other categories are fine. I also found that a lot of the vendors who sell vhs/DVDs advertise them as new and they are copies and not very good ones. BUYERS BEWARE. I lost over $50.00 on both films. I wish I had the money back. I reported this to eBay and they were supposed to try and get me a refund. That's a lot of baloney. They can't do anything and should stop advertising that they can.

This is a wonderful film for all of the May and Matthau fans out there. It is a cute little story about how a greedy self serving (albeit bankrupt) playboy is pushed into considering a fiendish plot to reclaim a fortune and in the end finds his humanity and loving compassion. The twists and turns of the story are wonderful and the acting is super. This dvd is a must have if you love romantic comedy and like a little quirkiness. I think that May steals the show playing the mousy little botanist, but Matthau meets her mark for mark as the selfish and arrogant suitor that is obsessed with reclaiming a fortune. Perfect comedy and one of my favorites. I was pleased to aquire such a clean crisp copy here on eBay to add to my personal video library...check it out I promise you won't regret it.
