Book; True Story: A New Kind of Normal by Carol Kent
I had previously read Carol's book, "When I Lay My Isaac Down," and was deeply
moved by her choice to share their family's story, when everything within her screamed to remain aloof/silent. "A New Kind of Normal" continues their family's journey into the unknown future....It is written with such vulnerability and truthfulness; despair and helplessness - yet with the ever consistent thread of God's strength personally active in their shattered lives. In a split second anyone of us could face "a new kind of normal" in our lives - completely out of our control. This book gives validation to the limitless emotions and upheaval such a change brings, BUT shares powerful, applicable lessons that are being lived out, daily, not just in the Kent family, but many other shattered lives that have "a new kind of normal." Powerful, precious, real; the best way to describe this book. I have a "loaner copy" because it is too powerful not to share!
