Enjoyed the New Earth Mud CD/DVD

I have loved Chris Robinsons sound, from the Black Crowest to the first New Earth Mud CD, having attended 5 concerts, I wanted this CD/DVD, I love the ballads, except for Katie Dear, (lame), but 90% of the songs I really liked. The performance DVD was much shorter than I expected, but I still enjoyed it. The seller was great in all ways, and it is a purchase I do not regret making.

Fans of the Black Crowes beware. First of all I must mention that in my opinion, only the first 3 Black Crowes albums were works of genius, and the others were no good. If you liked the other B.C. albums, you might like this music. I did not.
The songs had almost no punch to them, and were not arranged very well. The album sounded like it had been written and produced in about 20 minutes. There were a few ok songs on it (2), but just ok - not at all worth the price of the album or the bother of recording it. Chris Robinson has done too many drugs. I think the only people who will enjoy this album will be those who are taking similar drugs.
I didn't bother watching the DVD, so I can't comment on that. Why would I want to watch these awful, insipid tunes be performed live?
Well, that's the review - buy this cd at your own risk. I sure wish I hadn't.
