New Complete Guide to Sewing (2002, Hardcover, Illustrated)

I have been a 4-H leader for over 20 years. I really wish I had this book for reference since the first edition came out in 1976! Think how many young girls I could have helped by knowing what I was doing! This guide has easy to follow directions, lots of step by step pictures in a wide range of sewing basics. At a recent 4-H meeting when I said I was having trouble finding directions for making roman shades, they told me about the Complete Guide to Sewing and were appalled I didn't know about it. Some had original editions, some had newer ones. Why didn't my friends tell me earlier?? I went home, looked it up on ebay & bought it immediately. I was ecstatic when it came. It is awesome! However, it did not have directions for the roman shades I was making. Even though the home accesories section was a bit disappointing, it is an incredible reference guide, especially for making clothing.

I never received confirmation for my purchase, nor have i ever received the book. After contacting the seller, I still did not get my book or a refund.

I'm new at purchasing items on ebay, I never really trusted it but buying from this person was really great. The book was in great conditions and it was so cheap, plus it got here real quick. I would diffidently buy again. Thanks for the great experience.

I had to buy the book for a class and did not want to spend a lot of money at the book store so i decided to shop online for it!

Fantastic book, with lots of diagrams and simple explanations. Each aspect (hems, collars, necklines, sleeves, etc) is in a seperate, detailed chapter, and there is even a chapter on reading patterns and another on making alterations to patterns and clothes you already have. This is the best book I have found!
