The New Buffettology by David Clark, Mary Buffett (2002, Hardcover)

I only wished I knew about this book much earlier. It is a must for all Warren Buffet fans.

No, this book does not promise you that you can predict the "next-big-thing". No, this book does not claim to be able to "time the market". This book does not even tell you which company to buy!

However, this book "empowers" the serious investor with the knowledge he or she needs to be succesful in the stock market. The first rule of investment is "Not to lose money". Simple, but very profound. Yet how many of us managed to even preserve our capital?

This book is most user friendly. It is written in very simple language. I am not well versed in economics at all yet I can understand the concepts and calculations very easily.

The authors backed up theory with real examples and worked solutions to the calculations. It almost felt as if the authors were hand-holding me all the way.

The final plus point is of course the involvement of Mary Buffet. Having her insights to Warren Buffet's investment philosophy is the next best thing to hearing Warren Buffet himself speak.

By the time you read the whole book, you would be most comfortable with hnadling financial information and figures. You will learn the tricks and strategies the Master Investor Warren Buffet himself used to multiply his profits. Finally, you will also learn what make a company an excellent one, and at what price is it worth buying.
