New Annotated Sherlock Holmes by Leslie S. Klinger, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (2005, Hardcover)

This is an in depth running commentary on the complete canon of Sherlock Holmes.It gives background information relating to certain aspects of each story.
It describes various historical locations,where the stories take place. It is very through and adds extra appeal to the stories.
The biggest problem I see with the books is the physical weight.They weigh about 6 lbs each and are definitely not made for holding.They need to be flat on a table.
The reason I purchased the set is because I was to late to purchase an original set of "Annotated Sherlock Holmes by Bearing-Gould".
This is a very good set of books to own if you like Sherlock Holmes by AC Doyle.
