Neverending Story/Neverending Story II (DVD, 2006)

I saw this years ago and thought it was a great movie. It's got great characters, its funny, scary and has a good story line. And as a librarian, I love that the story is about a boy reading a book and getting sucked into it. This is not a well know movie, but it should be. I would say it's for ages 9 and up, as it does have some "dark scary" parts, but I think adults will love it too.

I have looked for this movie for a long time for my grandchildren ,as it was a favorite of my childrens, movies. I was so pleased to find this and it made my grandchildren very happy. I am a grandmother of twins. When my 3 children were thier age they watched this movie constantly and I with them! Babysitting the twins now and having them watch cartoons all the time I decided to buy this movie and tell them about how thier mommy use to watch it. It was Wonderful to see it again and the twins loved it. It is a timeless movie with so many life lessons intertwined with fantasy. It will always be one of our top 10 childrens movies to watch.

A lovely story for kids and adults. Anyone who understands and appreciates fantasy, epics, myths, and the hero's journey (in the words of Joseph Campbell) will enjoy this simple yet deep movie. The music is also fantastic.

If you haven't seen this childhood classic yet get off your duff, turn off the football game or international dart championship match and watch this timeless tale of good versus evil. If you don't the Nothing will consume you utterly.

The first one was great but the second one was by far the worst sequel I've ever seen. The main character in the first one was adorable and the writing was more logical and interesting. The special effects was also better in the first one. The flying dog was so cool in the first one, but in the second, it became pretty annoying.

Got this for my sister as a present, as I threw out her old VHS copy of the movie years ago and she's never let me live it down. She loved it and it brought lots of nostalgic moments back... awww!

The story of a boy who loves to read stories when all other kids have lost their imagination. Because of that, fantasy is dieing and it is up to him to save it by dictating what the hero in the book should do to stop the nothing that is killig it.
Very entertaining for the whole family.

The NES II is not as good. The actors are not believable nor is the plot. It drags on and you wish SOMEONE would do SOMETHING! I didnt like it as well.
Overall good for kids...

I was looking for movies for my 5 year old and remembered this movie from my youth. I was unable to find it in stores but found it on Ebay for a GREAT price.

I grew up with this movie and loved it. At the time (1984) the graphics were amazing but now they seem cheesy. It is still a good movie for those of us who remember it from our childhood. The 2nd one isn't as good.

i have been looking for this movie everywhere and to find it in a set sequel of 3 was simply amazing. i have loved this movie since i was a little girl and the price was simply amazing. i'm very very happy with my purchase

Like the movies, Never seen it before .Recomend i the movies, they were in good taste. It was a gift for my friends grandchildren, they LOve it.

I remember it as a young parent with my son. He was fascinated with the idea of a different world that could be erased or changed. Imagination theme with a delightful ending.

The special effects were wonderful. The story line was enchanting. I dont think this was meant for younger kids under 7 depending on the child, It might be a little frightful. My daughter loved it at 6, but she also liked horror movies.

My husband remembered watching these as a child and wanted to share them with our children. Our children love them. It just goes to show that the movie does not have to have a million dollar budget to be great.

My grandson & I enjoyed watching these, so when I seen both of them together decided to add to my collection. Now I'll be able to watch anytime & share with other family & friends!!

Good family movie, my kids love it. The first is better than the second. Must remember these movies were made in the 80's and early 90's when considering the visual effects used. Other than that no complaints.

My two girls loved this movie. They were entranced with it from the beginning and wanted to watch the third one once they were finished with this set. It's great for the imagination.

I decided to by this movie because i loved it as a child. now i want to share it with my daughter. i believe she will love it as much as i did.
