A Scoundrel's Wager

Of course, from the title you can be assured that you will have a man with unscrupulous morals, a scoundrel per the ton, & this story doesn't let you down. It starts off right from the start, with Grace Banbury finding out her gambling mother has done the most vile thing. Her mother has gambled not only their 2 homes away but also the right to marry her.
The book keeps a fast well written pace through the adventures Grace has as she tries to win back some of what her mother has lost from the scoundrel, Mr Throckmorten, who her mother had gambled with. He encourages her into a two week challenge which Grace will be the object of his seduction. Although the ending is really predictable that the two feel in love, the book was still enjoyable and fast paced with fun original adventures. I would recommend this book if you like historical romance books.
