Grace Banbury finds herself caught in a scandalous game of hearts when her gambling mother puts her up as the prize....and loses! Now Daniel Throckmorten owns her lock, stock and barrel. He is a rake that has hardened his heart against love, yet there is no denying the attraction he has toward Grace. He puts a challenge before her. if she can resist his charms for two weeks, then she can go free. Grace sees this as easy as pie, but as days go by she finds him harder to resist as this game of seduction heats up.

Very sexy novel....no real mystery that Grace will give in to love, but the process of getting there is half the fun. Good writting.

Very smooth writing....almost a "cat and mouse" race between the hero and heroine.....really fun to see how it all plays out. Very enjoyable!

  A Scoundrel's Wager

Of course, from the title you can be assured that you will have a man with unscrupulous morals, a scoundrel per the ton, & this story doesn't let you down. It starts off right from the start, with Grace Banbury finding out her gambling mother has done the most vile thing. Her mother has gambled not only their 2 homes away but also the right to marry her.
The book keeps a fast well written pace through the adventures Grace has as she tries to win back some of what her mother has lost from the scoundrel, Mr Throckmorten, who her mother had gambled with. He encourages her into a two week challenge which Grace will be the object of his seduction. Although the ending is really predictable that the two feel in love, the book was still enjoyable and fast paced with fun original adventures. I would recommend this book if you like historical romance books.
