The REAL 007 is back!

First released back in 1983, "Never Say Never Again" stars Sean Connery reprising his role as British secret agaent James Bond 007. It was Connery's return to the role that he hepled to make famous, after a 12 year hiatus. He previously played James Bond in the 1971 film "Diamonds Are Forever". This latest film entry was actually a remake of the 1965 Bond movie "Thunderball". Even after all that time away from 007, it appears as though Connery hasn't missed a step during that entire production. This is everything you would expect from a Bond movie; the latest hi-tech gadgets, cool cars, secret missions, beautiful women, and of course, the raw masculinity of Bond himself. In this episode, Bond is trying to stop a wealthy madman who seems determined to steal and detonate 2 bombs armed with nuclear warheads if certain demands are not met by SPECTRE, the evil organization that Bond has been at odds with for many years. 007 is sent to exotic locales throughout the world on his latest quest, attempting to track down his newest nemesis. Along the way, he meets gorgeous ladies while escaping his own death. Barbara Carerra earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role as the villainous Fatima Blush; Oscar-winner Kim Basinger plays Bond-girl Domino; Oscar-nominees Klaus Maria Brandaur as Largo and Max Von Sydow as Blofeld are perfect as the bad guys. James Bond has been played brilliantly by Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig and (one time only) George Lazenby. But, it is a thrill to see Sean Connery reprise this role one more time. "Never Say Never Again" reminds us exactly how exciting a James Bond movie can still be.
