Never Say Never Again (DVD, 2000)

I love James Bond movies. I really do. I tend to watch the Sean Connery ones rarely anymore. I really love the first few. The later ones really show Connery's age and it does become a hinderance. This film which is a remake of Thunderball, starring Connery, while still entertaining, doesn't live up to the original lot done by him. Watching Connery try to relive his faded glory years is tough to sit through. I will always own a copy of this but I wish this movie was never made. Bond movies should be better.

the movie was just what you expect from a james bond movie,lots of action and women, and very entertaining.you will be happy with your purchase if you buy this movie. i bought it for my boyfriend,a big james bond fan. he couldnt wait to get it and add it to his collection.

Item was brand new and in great condition. The Bond series is an excellent collection of movies and this one is not considered in line with the rest of the collection due to Sean Connery making it outside the arena of Bond films. It is an excellent action movie taking off a bit on Thunderball from the earlier Connery days.

They sent a great product and I received it in less time than they promised. I would do business with them again anytime.

I give this movie my highest recomendation. I've seen many movies and know much about the James Bond collection in general. This is one of the most underrated films in the Bond classics. Need a good thrill? Watch Sean Connery rock your world in this all time classic Never Say Never Again!!!

I have the entire Bond series and just received this one from a Ebay seller. The movie is good, yet the quality is unlike a true Bond Movie. This movie with Sean Connery was made by another studio, and the effects were cheesy at best. Bond was so old I almost seemed sorry for him.

Fair James Bond movie which is obviously a loose remake of Thunderball. This time he is called out of retirement and his teaching duties to thwart SPECTRE again who have aquired two nuclear warheads and plan to blackmail the world. Not as good as the other Bond movies with Sean Connery but worth adding to your collection.

If you are a Sean Connery fan - here is just another awesome movie to add to your collection!!!!
On his return to the part of James Bond, it is almost like he never left....

This is the "missing" James Bond movie. I have all of the others and wanted to add this one to my JB collection. This eBay seller offered a very good price and delivered the DVD to me promptly.

After a 12-year hiatus, Sean Connery is back in action as James Bond. The new entry marks something of a retreat from the far-fetched technology of many of the later Bonds in favor of intrigue and romance.
Although it is not acknowledged as such, pic is roughly a remake of the 1965 Thunderball. World-threatening organization SPECTRE manages to steal two US cruise missiles and announces it will detonate their nuclear warheads in strategic areas unless their outrageous ransom demands are met.

In short order, Bond hooks up with dangerous SPECTRE agent Fatima Blush (Barbara Carrera), who makes several interesting attempts to kill her prey, and later makes the acquaintance of Domino (Kim Basinger), g.f. of SPECTRE kingpin Largo (Klaus Maria Brandauer), who enjoys the challenge presented by the secret agent as long as he thinks he holds the trump card.

What clicks best in the film is the casting. Klaus Maria Brandauer makes one of the best Bond opponents since very early in the series. Carrera lets out all the stops, while Basinger is luscious as the pivotal romantic and dramatic figure.

And then, of course, there's Connery, in fine form and still very much looking the part.

i found every one of the bond movies for sell in stores but not never say never again. so i decided to look on ebay for it and i found it. it was always my favorite bond movie that sean connery played in.

i wanted the movie to go along with the james bond collection set i bought 3 days earlier. i am a big james bond fan. it was great service and fast shipping. i will be buying again on ebay.

This is a WEAK remake of Thunderball. Watch the original...it's much better. For you Walther P5 fans, there is very little of the gun shown in this move and not one shot fired! Lame!

On the plus side, production and quality are typical Bond. Nicely done if a bit trite. Could have been far better in plot, though.

Many argue that this film is inferior to the the Broccoli production "proper" 007 films... And I agree it has a different rhythm, feel, and pace than the Roger Moore counterparts of the era. However, I can't disagree that this orphan of a 007 flick is just as good as any. I mean with Sean Connery as 007, you just can't deny it as James Bond!

I was never a Sean Connery fan of the series. (I grew up watching Roger Moore). However, it's like Connery saved "his best, for last". This was the best Bond film I ever watched. While it's not considered canon, I think it's Connery's best work. It's too bad this was his last 007 film. I felt he hit his best stride in this film. Because it was not a EON/United Artists film, it feels different from the rest of the films. But, it's a difference that's refreshing. For some reason, this film has a fresh feel to the series. It's too bad Connery didn't return, because he made this the best. Of course, this film would have fallen into the true definition of franchise. "The owner of the product or trademark, licenses the name to others; in return for a royalty fee." To see a character made by another studio is interesting. But, Bond can claim he's the only one to do it. It's just great they used the first Bond, to try branching out.

i like that it's another james bond movie. i dislike that it was done without the original creators, that is why it is never added to the other bond movie collections. overall a desent movie

A great james bond movie for very cheap and got to me pretty fast. And it completes my james bond collection. I would buy from this person again.

I have always enjoyed watching 007 in the movies. When they would run a James Bond all day special I tried to watch them all but the movies ran throughout the night. I got tired of missing different parts of the movies so I went into my ebay and made a few bids until I won the set of 20 new DVD Collection. Now I can watch 007 anytime I want to. The movie that I purchased in addition to my collection is called Never Say Never Again(007). This is also a great movie to have. For now my 007 DVD collection is complete.
