Never Be Lied to Again by David J. Lieberman (1999)
This book was recommended to me by a counselor and while reading it, I bought a book for each of my adult children. It's been very helpful in dealing with my husband who not only is divorcing me but being dishonest. The book has given me insight as to how to tell he's lying and how I can ask better questions. It's empowered me in several ways. One day I was able to confront him and could tell I was "in the driver's seat" when I asked my questions with some wisdom behind them. No emotion. The book has helped me to know just how to ask what I need to discuss and it will continue to educate me in ways of dealing with him. My daughter learned the power of silence. The ideas presented in this book seem simple, yet they are very powerful. This book has been a real help to me in learning how to be more discerning when listening to others.
