I have read several books on how to tackle the sales game. I have also been exposed to a large amount of the information available on the web regarding how to improve your performance in sales, particularly prospecting for sales. I receive Frank's e-letters and feel like I have a good handle on what he is saying. I ordered this book and looked forward with much enthusiasm to it's arrival. I read it cover to cover. Unfortunately, it is more fluff than substance. While his ideas are generally sound, his techniques do not deliver on the promise of being able to prespect new sales effectively without cold calling.

This book is by far the best investment I have made thus far. It shows you what you need to do to make yourself "the expert" and draw prospects to you. I have always had trouble approaching people, but the website I created was not bringing in the prospects I needed. I am a newbie, so maybe that is why I found the book so great, it revealed a lot of problems with my site. This is the book that made things click for me.

I bought this book because one of my sales people had read it and wanted me to use some of the principles in the book. I am still re-reading it because I must have missed something. I still believe in building relationship and the methods in this book doesn't encourage that. There is no right or wrong way to achieve sales results. Each person has to study and practice and figure out the methods that work for them. While these methods don't work for me, that doesn't mean they are wrong. Who am I to say someone is wrong? I very glad I read the book and will continue to research and study methods that will make me and my sales staff better at what they do.

Frank Rumbauskas is an awesome author...great book...you can really learn alot from it. He was just like any other sales representative that went through cold calling to try and make sales...he found MUCH better ways to make sales and generate leads in this new Information age...internet, e.g. email, blogs, websites...very smart guy, very smart techniques
