Nell (DVD, 2004)

This movie was a required homework assignment for my exceptionalities course. I'm studying to be a teacher. This movie was excellent in so many ways. When I was younger, when the movie first came out, I couldn't stay interested in it. Now it is more intriguing. This is something that you probably do not even think of happening in real life. It makes you think about the ways animals and people communicate. It is a good movie for any adult, because it can maybe help people learn to deal or cope with others.

Communication, patience, effort & love are vital keys to life! Jodi Foster did a great job! Have your tissue ready ... the storyline is great!

I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it. What amazing people and talent they have. This girl is living by herself who does not speak well but is found by a local. The locals come to evaluate to see what to do to help her. Great Movie, a Must See

I am a movie buff and one of my favorite actress is Jody Foster. The movie was one of her best, I loved it

The whole movie was wonderful plus it takes me back to New Orleans where I first viewed it in my hoteel in April of 1994. The performances were great and the storline was wonderful.

I purchased this movie because I had never seen it and I wanted a copy of the film with both Natasha Richardson and Liam Neeson performing together. This movie does not disappoint. There are very solid performances from Richardson, Neeson and Jodie Foster. This is a mixture of heavy drama and humor. Have patience with the research angle and by the end of the movie, you will be rewarded. I really enjoyed this movie. A great addition to my Natasha Richardson collection!

Love it, Love , Love it. Really deep felt good film. Makes you feel good and want to stand up and cheer for Nell and everyone who helped her. She is an incredible actress (Jodie Foster). I thought about the film because of Natasha Richardson"s death. Here she is with husband Liam Neeson in a feature film. GREAT movie. Awesome acting.

If Jody Foster is in it, it's worth watching. Alternately humorous and touching, Jody actually makes you feel Nell's own emotions as she discovers the wonders and dangers of the outside world.

Excellent acting by cast...beautiful movie. Spiritual. Saw this movie a long time ago and found it on ebay. Highly recommended!

Recieved the movie and am looking forward to watching it.I have not watched it so I do not know if the disc is defective or not. next time I will not write a review until after I have watched the movie.

Well I sure didnt get it so cant say I like it thats my feelings. For one thing it would have been a very good movie, thats why I ordered it, but you cant trust people when they take your money and not send you your movies.

I saw this movie once when I was 10 and never forgot it, I loved it then, and still love it. Jodi Foster did a wonderful job portraying a "wild child". It is a story that touches the heart and has you wanting to jump in and help....at least that is how I felt.

Awesome movie! Just as good as I remembered when I saw it the first time. She reminds me of an autistic child I know, but her language skills are the worst I've ever seen or heard.

This movie is an old favorite. It completes a collection my mother started a while back. I bought it for the reasons above and the price was unbeatable.

Jodie Foster outdoes herself as a child raised in the wilderness by her reclusive mother. After the death of her twin at a tender age, then later, the death of her mother, Nell must learn to survive in a hostile world full of strangers who want to put her away and study her as a "ferile child." Problem is; Nell is no longer a child, but a young woman. She has developed her own language, a mixture of English and twin-talk, which is where Jodie Foster REALLY shines!! A doctor and a scientist battle for Nell...one wants to let her stay in her familiar surroundings and continue her life as is, where the other thinks she should be locked up and studied. Who will win? Can Nell melt the coldness of the scientific heart and show her a simpler, sweeter world? Whatever you decide, you'll certainly have an opinion. Mine is....Nell is a *wonderful* movie, and one you'll not soon forget!

Enjoy it again and again. A big Jodie Foster fan!! Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson do an excellent job in this movie with North Carolina accents. I'm a NC native, and they get the accent right on taret!!

I love this movie. I have it on VHS but wanted it on DVD. DVDs have better quality, don't have to be rewound, and last longer. The price was what I was willing to pay so I bought it. Now I can enjoy the movie whenever I want without the hassle that goes with tapes.
