Almost Perfect

If you are a true Neil Young fan, this is a must have. The transfer to dvd was masterfully done. This is an incredible performance, and while Neil's library is so extensive, you'll always leave his concerts unfulfilled by not hearing every song you would have love for him to have performed, this one does cover the highlights of his career up to 1979. This is nearly a flawless concert dvd, and I only have one complaint, which has remained true since this concert was originally released. There is a considerable amount of attention on this film to the roadies, which is fine, and they are entertaining. But the noise they make when moving equipment around, I think is recorded too loud, so loud as to be a distraction. This is especially true for 5.1 surround sound, and after you have the set the volume you want to hear the concert in then having to turn that perfect volume down to compensate for the moving noises. This distraction alone keeps this from being his all time best dvd concert release.
