Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 (PlayStation 2, 2002)

If you are won that likes to evade the cops in video games, then this is the game for you!!!!!!!

I would definately suggest buying this game becuase it is just a great game!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought the game for my 10 year old grandson who enjoys all forms of car races. He liked the various levels of races. He mastered the game quickly though. He still plays it whenever he can.

My brother had this game about 4 years ago, and I have never had a racing game that was this enjoyable since.
I searched locally high and low to find it with no success, and I was very happy I was able to buy it on ebay.

Easily beats all games in the NSF series to this date.
Pros:
No junk pop\hip hop music that has plagued the series over the last few years
Great PS2 Graphics
You are racing great exotic cars, not civics with bolt on garbage
Championchip and Hot Pursuit modes are challenging and fun! (not as tedious as GT3 or 4)
Great sense of speed.

Cons:
No Widescreen setting available
Jump cam can get annoying at times, but it can be turned off

I bought this game because my husband wanted a racing game or a "shoot 'em up" game. I wasn't for the violence so I went with the speed. He doesn't play the game now. I have completed several levels and feel very frustrated when it takes a bit to finish another. I love this game. Being able to change the view from the car is so fun, it puts you right in the drivers seat. The fall back is when I get in my car I have to remind myself I can't run from the police or drive on the wrong side of the rode, or drive over 100 mph, or wreck other cars and I don't bounce so well when I hit a tree. Other than my mind thinking I am still in the game when I am not playing this game is awesome!

This is a great racing game. This game has practically any high preformance car you can think of. There are many cool tracks you can race on not to mention the fantasic scenery in the game.

A feature that I liked the best out of this game was that you can be cops (as in the old one) or you could outrun them with any car you want to race with that is on the game.

My husband wanted this game to go with his collection of car games. I didn't want to pay $50 for it so I bought it online and now he loves it.

Little hard for me to handle at first (I play mostly action/adventure games)
But once I got it....pretty fun. I like the cars and the police.

Need for speed hot persuit 2 is an awsome game to play when you dont have any thing to do.when I first played it I thought it would be like any other racing game, but no it has waaayyy more exhilarating features to it then other games

This game is good. Leaps and bounds better than previous NFS game. The graphics are good, the controls are straight forward, and the music is good. It should not be legal for a game to be this much fun.
The car selection is limited when compared to Gran Turismo, but when not comparing it side by side, is expansive AND expensive. All the major speed machines are there. Gameplay is at an all-time high for this series. You can participate in a straightforward race or (for more adrenaline) Hot Pursuit mode. The police in this game are relentless and will stop at nothing to slow you down. You can also be the cop, but it's just not as much fun...but still enjoyable. This is a pretty good two person game, but single play is mostly where it's at. You can unlock fast, better and more exotic cars as you progress and pretty soon you'll be hitting 200mph and saying goodbye to Mr. Piggy. You'll also hit 3am before you realize what time it is...this game sucks you in and keeps you wanting more.

I guess I'm not sure why I give this game a 4/5. I guess maybe that the replay value isn't good. Once you beat it, there isn't much to do. Getting chased by cops does have it's fun limit. But at this time, you should be able to pick it up cheap and is well worth the money!

My son (10) and I have a great time racing each other. He is getting quite skilled at catching big air and getting extra points.

Great game in the "Need For Speed" Series!(Which I have all of for PS2) Game gets really hard & challengiing later on.I have yet to finish the last 2 final Races but keep trying! Very Challenging game!!!

There is not much to say, It is a fun racing game that can be played with two players, You can race your friends or race in the tournament or you can be chased by the cops or you can be the cops...
It just simply a fun game!

well i love all need for speed games i have a full complete collection all need for speed games for the sony playstation so i decided to buy the need for speed: hot pursuit 2 game to make my collection complete thanks for reading my short letter bye :-)

Decided to buy it after my daughter played it at her cousins house. I usually get in trouble for making purchases but my husband totally enjoys this one. He plays it about as much as my daughter does. The game is a race game but not a typical race game. There are police chases and you could either be the police or on the other side of the law. I love the fact that as an officer you can get back up assistance ( helicopter or other police vehicles that lay out tacks) the computer chooses which one. I love the game as long as I don't have to race the "computer" even though I always lose to my daughter (10) and my husband. I guess it is more fun when you can actually hit the winner of the race that you lost. :) I do highly recommend this game and I am happy that I found it on ebay too!!!!

It is like almost every other game. I have no idea how to use the police sirens. I bought it because I owned the game on PC but lost the code so I bought it here. I recommend you buy it if you are very experienced.

It's just a great game. I bought it because it's an old school Need for Speed game nothing like the newer ones, and all the cool cars.

like the cars but the races are to long. still the pursuit mode is cool, the game will be better if you could modified the cars, it a old game so it's all right
