Necronomicon by Simon (1995, Paperback, Reissue)

It must be remember that this book is from Sumer historical past. The use of it could release powers that can not be controlled. Not for the common man, subjected to be mis-used and should be read with care. Books on magical powers can be hurtful to the mind. Too much knowledge could made you mad like the writer of the book. The book has a interesting history. The big question is if Lovecraft connected with it?

Is Lovecraft a new Edgar Allan POE, ? I do think so. Strange was his life, an exilee between his counterparts,obscure,segregate, this Man was already his own work.Some references in his books takes you to old mesopotamian mitologies,babilonian invocations, pre-islamic divinities.Nightmares indicating the undergrounds of
the soul of our modern fears...All of the terror comics,gore horror films,xenophobies, wars of invasions,the comming aliens, are a sign of it,
Lovecraft is part of all those misunderstood writters in America,like Henry Miller,Ginsberg....Necronomicon is a Must.

If for no other reason, this book shoudl be read as the foundation text of Black Metal. Seriously, though, I am not sure where I stand on this and the supplemental books (Gates of, Spellbook, etc) are helpful in figuring out the authenticity (or not) of this book. There becomes a culture within the book itself akin to a JFK or Roswell lore. Whatever you pay for this one, its well worth the price and bound to have some effect on the reader, for good, for ill, or for the Elders.
