Movie Description
NATURAL PAIN RELIEF teaches how to use massage, acupressure, reflexology, and other holistic techniques to alleviate common ailments such as backaches and headaches. Three types of remedies, Jin Shin Do, Reflexology, and Awareness through Breathing and Visualization, are demonstrated. Jin Shin Do is a form of acupressure that has proven successful in alleviating headaches and jawaches, and a professional practitioner demonstrates both how to locate acupressure points and how to work them to get rid of pain. Reflexology is based on the premise that the foot can heal the rest of body, and a licensed massage therapist demonstrates its many uses in alleviating pain. Lastly, Jeanne Anselmo, co-director of Holistic Nursing Associates in NY, guides the viewer through an exercise in Awareness through Breathing and Visualization that has helped countless practitioners overcome pain and illness.
