An excellent book
Barbara Albright's Natural Knitter is a very professional and well constructed guide, especially for knitters experimenting with the many and varied natural yarns now so readily available. The patterns are well chosen, well illustrated, and easy to follow, but also genuinely innovative and attractive. I am thoroughly enjoying trying them out in co-operation with a local alpaca breeder here in New Zealand, who is very enthusiastic about how well the patterns work with the lovely soft yarn that her animals produce. For those who prefer the graph style of knitting notation to the written style, both are included in good clear pages with helpful diagrams.
I can't fault the book. My only sadness was to learn that this is Barbara Albright's last book, as last autumn she suffered a premature demise aged only 51 from a brain tumor.
