National Treasure (DVD, 2005, Full Frame)

Gotta love this movie. This is one of my favorites. I love treasure hunting movies. Nicholas Cage plays such a great character. He plays Ben Gates, the main character. I also love that it has humor in it also. Its very exciting and funny all in one movie. Its an on your toes suspense movie. Its a must have for that treasure hunter!

This is a great movie to watch with your family. Even my five year old nephew enjoys this movie no matter how many times we watch it. It is filled with action adventure, historical facts, drama and suspense plus it is very educational for everyone in the family! I highly recommend this movie especially to families with children that are in school learning about American History - it may peak their interest in their school work!

This movie was actually a ton of fun! There were some great historical events and it was interesting to learn some of the history and see the action that went along with figuring out what happened along the way! A very good movie!

Requested by by granddaughter for her 13th birthday because she wanted to watch it again and again. I watched it with her and was impressed with the quality, interesting and suspenseful story.

Everyone likes a good movie about hidden treasures, puzzles etc...

I like it even more when my whole family can watch it. Although the plotline has very little truth in it their is enough historical references to make my children want to leanr about history as well.

The movie never slows down- so make sure you've got your drink and popcorn ahead of time-- or you'll be hitting pause! The action is fast paced and fun, involving (of course) a romantic heroine and rounding many of fabulous historical United State Sites! (the scenery in this one alone is worth it- as they were allowed to shoot from viewpoints we will never truly get to see (inside the signing room in Independence Hall, On top of the Bell Tower)

Be wure to catch the extras on the DVD including a treasure hunt of your own. When you solve the puzzles (not difficult) more menu optiona open up. WRITE THEM DOWN. You'll be glad you did.

Thrilling, funny, and non-stop action-- this one's a keeper!

I'm not a movie critic so I will not discuss its merits. I like the story line. I happen to be a Mason and I enjoyed the story for its entertainment value. There was much literary license but I enjoyed it for its kinship to my organization.

this movie captured a old historians idea about the freemasons and added a historical twist,,this movie will educate you on our history as well as entertain you on a upper level,, fromt eh start to finish it only gets better and when the credits run you will feel dissapointed that the movie ended,,you will be waiting for a part two,,I truly hope they do make a part two but they did end the story for no opening for such,, the treasure of all treasures was found and the most exciting part BOUT THIS MOVIE IS YOU HAVE TO QUESTION YOURSELF IS IT FOR REAL SINCE ALL THE HISTORY THEY ADDED IS FOR REAL AND ITS NOT FAKE,,THAT STUFF DID HAPPEN,,WHY THE ALL SEEING EYE ON THE BACK OF A DOLLAR,,WHY THE TIME PRINTED ON A 100 DOLLAR BILL,,9 MASONS DID SIGN THE DECLERATION OF INDEPENDENCE ECT....I SOMEWHAT BELIEVE IT THE STORY AND HOLLYWOOD ADDED THERE MAJIC TO MAKE THIS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN.....................GREAT FOR KIDS AND FAMILYS

This is a great movie. It is thrilling and educational all at the same time. It makes history a joy to watch. I purchased this movie for my son who loves it. He is not quite a teenager yet, but it is still one the the movies he can watch without feeling like he's seeing too much. A great family movie night movie!

This is a great family film. It is exciting and clean for everyone in the family. It also introduces and presents important historical sites and documentatioins that is good for all of us to remember and re-learn. My family loves this movie!

Really Good Movie! One, we just like Nic Cage, a fine actor! Two, wonderful historic mystery that really made you pay attention to the "facts" to keep up with the story line. My entire family enjoyed this flick, even my 5 year old found it entertaining. The wrap up was a little farfetched (like the wooden staircase that wasn't entirely rotted after 200 years!! And let's not talk about the "elevator") but overall really enjoyable. The other actors in the movie were also quite good, especially the bad guy. Unfortunately I don't remember his name but he was also Boromir in LOTR! Very different role here for him which I always enjoy seeing. It takes real talent to make very different characters seem "real". I especially liked the historic aspect and the info about the Declaration, very interesting about how it is kept safe. I would rate this movie a solid B+!

This is a great, kid-friendly movie with enough to keep an adult's interest as well. It is fast paced, clean, and full of historical sites and images. Although the story is totally fictional, there is enough American history referenced in it to stimulate discussions with kids about our nation's history and what's fact and what has been embellished. My girls really enjoyed the humor, and asked questions about some of the people they talked about. We also enjoyed seeing national monuments in Washington, D.C. that we've visited as a family. I strongly recommend this movie for an enjoyable family evening.

This movie was a great action packed movie you never know what is going to happen next. The suspense it great. Loved it!

I bought this movie for my grandson as a Christmas present.My husband watched it with him the other night and he said it was really good.

Liked the movie and wanted to add it to my library. Very fast service and no complaints about my order.

The best way I could sum this movie up is like this. National Treasure is Gone In 60 Seconds meets Indiana Jones. If you don't like those movies you won’t like it. I loved this movie; it was very clever and kept me entertained throughout.

I loved this movie! This was one of the best movies ever! I bought it from a yard sale for $5 and it turned out to be the best 5 dollars i ever spent., trust me, its well worth it. you will want to see it over and over again.

National Treasure is a genius film for all ages. Nicholas Cage has yet another great starring role as he tries to steal the Declaration of Independence to finally figure out if there is a treasure map on the back of it. Althought he would love to know for his personal interest, he takes it from Washington D.C. so that his enemy does not, therefor "protecting it" This is a great film, intense, and has funny parts here and there. X marks the spot to purchase this DVD

The story is great. The characters are great. Nicholas Cgae is terrific. This movie is a blast from start to finish and fun for the whole family. Like a new version of Indiana Jones - and just as fun. See it !

This is a great movie for all ages. Nicolos Cage's family for generations have been chasing a treasure. From the clue handed down by a dying man, his femily generation after generation go in search of the answer to the clue. Non are successfull till Cage. This movie has lots of twists and turns and you never know were he will end up next. And the treasure is truely breathtaking.

It has the perfect mix of action, comedy, romance, MYSTERY and history to have pulled off such a fantastic and magical movie ideal. To top it off it hasn't been done before (that I know of).

A great addition to any movie collection!

This is one of the Best Action/Adventure Films of Recent Years.Nick Cage is Great as the Hero.He has the Side Kick for Comic Relief & gets the girl in the End.It makes you wonder if there really is a National Treasure out there somewhere.Great Entertainment for the whole Family!!!!

if you like action/adventure then this movie has what you're looking for...for the most part. it plays like a watered-down indiana jones movie set in the present day. of course, like most action/adventure the plausibility of the story is laughable but an entertaining film nonetheless.
