The Book of Secrets was a good follow-up movie to the first movie, but left me a little disappointed in places.
You first have to be able to sell the audience on the idea and then work to make it believable. This just did not happen for me. Nicholas Cage is always perfect for this role and he always seems to fit the part, but the others in this movie were very outside of the movie.
Some parts, including the ending, were very slow and cumbersome to watch.
The Father/Mother interaction thing was very distracting to the plot.
The supposed Kidnapping of the Pres. was a little too far-fetched for even me.
I'll give this an average rating.

We had seen National Treasure 2 Book of Secrets at the Theatre and it was awesome. The suspense, drama and thrill. Can't wait for it to be released on DVD.

) From the discription I thought I was buying National Treasure 2 the 2 disc Gold collection not the 2-disc collection. The gold collection has a feature that no other edition has. I am not sure of the procedure just yet but I am sending this back. I am upset because I did not get what was advertised and I was looking forward to owning that edition.

National Treasure 2 Book of SecretsThis movie along with the 1st National Treasure are great movies because, they make great use of true historical people, places, legends, and events although to a fictional story line getting people to actually look into real history which as a history buf I think is great!

Great!Another treasure hunt for Nicholas Cage. Does not disappont with the sights, etc that are in the movie. At one point Nicholas' character kidnaps the "president", adds a little extra to this movie. If you've seen the first movie, you won't want to miss this one.

If you liked National Treasure, then you will like NT2. Same action, suspense and fantasy intertwined with a hint of "history" to make the implausible a bit more platable. This time Ben Gates (Nicholas Cage) is trying to clear his Great-Great Grandfather's name, oh, and find a multi-billion dollar treasure, too. Gates' adventure takes him to several countries and a few American landmarks searching for clues. Oh, did I mention Gates is looking for a treasure???
Rated PG, so some younger viewers may be upset by the action and peril at times.
A fun movie that will keep you interested, so long as you aren't looking for History Channel accuracy.

I have 3 children ages 17 15 & 10 This is a movie they can all watch together No violence No sex!! It sparks conversations about History! Moms favorite subject. There should be more movies like this one!!!!

This is a great movie. We have six children spanning 14 years and they all enjoy it. We don't watch very movies more than once but we have seen this one several times. We would highly recommend it!!

Enjoyed I love discovering mystery in the US.The actors did a great job and were enjoyed, but I really liked the aspect of pre-indian history in the United States. The idea that our founding father's and the mason's worked together to control the founding of this country. The adventure was well written and the romance was great because it was between people that were mature enough to know what they were doing.

National Treasure 2: Book of SecretsI truly enjoyed this movie. I liked part 1 of this movie. It was exciting and kept you on the edge waiting for the next thing to happen. When I heard that part 2 was coming out. I couldn't wait to see it. Are there going to be any more? I hope so. These movies are as good as one of my favorites. Which is the Indiana Jones series. Hope to see more of this family and thier adventures.

A treasure.This is one of those sequeals that is as good as the first. The main characters being played by the same actors as in the first was great- I hate it when different actors take over roles of characters you are all ready formilar with. Bringing in Helen Mirrin as the mother was the best she was as wonderful in this role as she has been in anything that I have seen her in.
Over all loved the action, the story line, and the characters. Can't wait to see what they do next, as they left it open for a third and possibly even more movies to fallow
