This has got to be one of the best movies for the holidays. Its the miracle on 34th street for Generation X. If your 25-35 you can appreciate this movie. even older and younger will love it. ( I can just only speak really for my age group) We all know a weird uncle that shows up at christmas....Like the one in this movie.... He actually brings this movie to life, as the crazy uncle at your christmas does. The one in the movie brings umm rubber sheets with him.. LOL
Chevy chase, couldnt play a better part of a frizzed out father, trying to have a family christmas. He goes to great lengths, but, nothing seems to be right. (Im trying NOT to spoil the plot here so bare with me) And the wife, shes very supportive, but.... we can always tell when things go wrong..... And to add even more comedy, the son and daughter have to share a room while both sets of grandparents are there for christmas. You laugh from the first 30 secs... and it just doesnt stop... Well well well worth the buy.... If you even remotley love comedy, BUT NOT STUPID COMEDY, kinda real life , things that could really happen comedy, you will LOVEEEEEEE this movie...
