National Geographic Field Guide to the Birds of North America by Jon L. Dunn, Jonathan K. Alderfer (2006, Paperback)

This is by far the best guide I own out of many! It has drawings of all the variations of seasonal and gender colorations. I looked for a new species in four other well known guides. This one is the only one that led me to the correct identification!

This is an excellent working guide for US birds. Well laid out and with short cut indices on the front and rear covers.

Illustration and photos are very accurate.

This is a wonderful book for the bird lover's in your life. This book has thousands of brightly colored illustrations and photographs of the numerous birds in North America. It makes identifying different species and ages of birds as easy as i-2-3. I bought this book for my Mom & Dad to use because they had several new varieties of birds that came to feed this Spring and all of the different birds were easy to locate and identify. I would suggest this book to anyone who has an interest in birds and would like to learn about their origin, feeding habits, nesting, & other info! Very informative! AAA+++

Have not received the book yet. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift so I had to give away one of my bird books. Have emailed seller 3 times, still no book
