National Audubon Society Field Guide to Florida by National Audubon Society (1998, Paperback)

For anyone who lives or travels to Florida, this book is a must to help you identify the different and unique wildlife and foliage. The book is compact so it fits right in your back pocket, yet it's loaded with photos and descriptions of many of most popular animals, reptiles, trees, flowers and even insects. I discovered that what I thought were geckos running around everywhere were actually Skinks and Anoles which are cousins to the gecko. (which might explain why I could seem to buy car insurance from them. :) The book is well worth the money and a joy to read.

This is an excellent book for a person who lives in Florida or plans to move to Florida. I have had a copy for several years and go to it first when I want to identify a plant or animal. We have friends from Maine that love nature and work with their granddaughters to identify Florida Wildlife. I purchased this copy as a birthday gift for the husband to use and share with his grandaughters.
