Naruto Uncut - Box Set Vol. 9 (DVD, 2008, 3-Disc Set; Uncut)

Naruto Uncut Box Set Vol. 9 covers Episode 107-120 of the series. This is the beginning of the Sasuke Retrieval Arc of the Anime Series. As in the Manga, it starts off with a fight between Sasuke and Naruto. After the fight, Sasuke is approached by the Sound Ninja Four, the Elite Guards of Orochimaru’s Guards, and is offered a place by Orochimaru’s side. He accepts the offer and abandons the Leaf Village, injuring Sakura in the process. The Hokage learns of this betrayal and orders Shikamaru, who has just been promoted to Chuunin, to gather up a team and retrieve him. Shikamaru and Naruto, along with Choji, Kiba and Neji, head out to rescue Sasuke after Naruto promises Sakura that he will bring Sasuke back to her. The team pursues the Sound ninja and during the pursuit, Choji, Neji, Kiba and Shikamaru leave the team in order to engage their enemies in one on one combat after the Elite Guard Leader, Kimimaro, shows up and takes Sasuke away. Naruto continues the pursuit while the team fights their individual battles.
The set covers the Manga Chapters 173 to 204.

As for Volume 10, it looks like this will cover the rest of the Sasuke Retrieval Arc, ending with the conclusion to the fight in the Valley of the End. This is around where the Manga leaves off before the two and a half year time skip. In the anime, the start doing filler episodes until the series ends and the “Hurricane Chronicles” of the Anime starts up; this is where the Manga picks up after the time skip.

I love NARUTO!!! This a MUST have for all collectors. I love the non-stop action and comedy of the series. Just when you think you had enough, they always manage to find a way to keep you hooked onto the series. The only thing I might not like about the series is that its highly contagious!! Its not like Dragon Ball Z how they show one character powering up for three whole episodes, then the fight ending in a few seconds. One recommendation is that you watch the unedited versions so you don't cheat yourself on the real action of the series.
