Naruto: Ultimate Ninja (PlayStation 2, 2006)

This game is great, you can choose between 12 characters and actually switch stages during combat. Each character has 3 special techniques which are pretty cool.There is gameplay interaction which means you get to hear Naruto say "Believe IT". The graphics are not so great but the moves they make definitely makes up for it. This game is addicting and pretty funny at times whether you win or lose.

The menu is cool and the type of things you can do is play through each characters story, practice, do missions for the Hokage, listen to music from Naruto,collect figures, etc..

There are plenty of moves to use in this game. You can even make yourself disappear to a different location right before an enemy attacks or any time you want. I thought that was very helpful and a really cool prospect.Just like the cartoon you have to start at D rank and make your way up. It makes you feel like you really are feeling what the characters are feeling. Its a great game for any Naruto fan. Don't pass this up...Believe it.

its a great game. the control are easy and the graphics are based on what the cartoon looks like. i bought this game because i like naruto and i played the gamecube virson and it was good but not enough charactors. i was about to buy the g cube one then some one told me the ps2 naruto game was one of the best naruto games. *this games exellent* 5/5

Naruto eh..? Yea.. I heard about.. it's about some ninjas and.. there's that one game on Gamecube... yeah...

Well... basically the game for the gamecube isn't that.. great. However, Naruto Ultimate Ninja pulls out a secret move and suprises us with the beautiful graphic long cinema "secret techniques" as well as a kind of super-smash feel gaming.

Summary : DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME THE ULTIMATE NINJA? This game is based on the anime Naruto. Most Naruto fans will go crazy about this game but non-fans will just enjoy it but not as much. They will most likely play Super Smash Bros than this because they are more familiar with the characters. Yet, this game does have some neat stuff like the cinemas showing when you do a "secret technique" and the added button pushing when doing the "secret technique" to further damage your opponent or take reduced damage. (Enables a mode kind of like DDR and the faster you push the corresponding buttons, you either take reduced damage or do more damage depending on if you are the attacker or defender of the move).

Gameplay : Simple yet requires fast movement like Super Smash Bros. The guard button is unique because when you push it at the right time, you are able to dodge your opponent's attack and have a chance to strike back. Also, when you do a special throw, you are able to counter it by pushing O + directional pad toward your opponent. As you counter it, your opponent can counter it too therefore seeing who can continue to time it right for the attack and whoever cannot keep it to take the hit. Fast gameplay required. Special attacks can be activated by pushing the corresponding buttons at the right time. Also, basically what you mostly do in this game is just complete story mode about characters and do missions to earn money and raise your rank. You can also fight with your friends as your favorite Naruto characters using your Ninjitsu.


Sound : Great Naruto music. It not only feels right but also for the surrounding environment too. It has a nice catch to it and you can listen to them again after you achieve them in the game from the shop in the game. Sadly, dubbed games are always a disappointing act. Some of the characters sound good like Naruto. But there are others that will really annoy you.

Overall : Overall, this game is decent depending if you are a hardcore Naruto fan or just a regular gamer. It has its good points yet its bad. It is not the perfect game but it is a bit like Super Smash Bros.

This game is pretty good. I have to say that I really like it. It is very challenging. The opponents are very strong and competitive. The battle fields are quite tactical. It is very similar to the show.

I decided to buy this game because I saw it on television and thought it would be really cool. And I was right!! Alot of battling and fighting!

This game is much more competitive that other games I have played. Other games, I can win very easily. This one takes some skill and patience!

I love the entire game. It really keeps you busy, and has almost an endless amount of possibilities. Great game!

What I like about it is all the action and players especially nine tailed Naruto and cursed marked Sasuke. I also love the different levels there are in the whole game. But the problem is that the characters have black lines every where on there body including their face! Other than that I really love the game. Their actions and secret techniques are very cool and awsome!!!!!! My brother and I really want it but we don't actually know anywhere where we can get it for $20.00!! So how the heck are we supposed to get it, huh huh huh huh!!!!!!!

My son loved the three special kind of Jutsus that each charecter can perform in the game. We bought it because it was a good price and a great game.

I thought the game was boring, all good characters you have to unlock, and the HORRIBLE English voice cast! Darn you Naruto! Can't you say ANYTHING besides "BELIEVE IT!" on every menu page?!?
Game play was ok, liked the multi-levels...I just could not stand to listen to it.

Well, for one thing is not your normal type of street fighter 2 games or mortal kombat seried, but it will keep you happy until you want to go on to the next sequel.
The game for one thing is very unique it doesn't have alot of combo's like SF or any others but it has pure quality.
Bandi america and shonen jump reall tried on this one and I was not disappointed.
If you don't like the Naruto series anime or manga than stay away from this game or any other sequels to this game.

I have been watching naruto since it first appeared on the toonami block manuy years ago. ii have been a huge fan of everything naruto ever since i am a a huge fan of anime and manga and think that this one is one of the best ones i have ever seen. the naruto ulimate ninja game is a great game that goes well with the the charecters of the show. it doesnt follow the story very well because thats not the style of the game but ithe fights are almost identical to what would happen in the show every charecter comes with there signiture attacks from the first about 80 episodes of the show. the game style has you fight with each 12 playable charecters stories in a little sum up of each charecter while you do missions outside of the story/ there are also alot of items you can buy with the ryu you win from the missions at the store in the game like ninja info cards and music and video data and much more. all and all lit isnt as good as the 2nd and 3rd games by my standards but it is one of the best naruto game series so i hope you buy it.

in this game u can have 1 on 1 fights also do a story mode to unlock other chacters. also you can use different weapon and walk on water so its like you are like a real ninja
