This book clearly and concisely describes the influence Chemistry had on many aspect of history. It give great details about each topic and leaves the reader want to know about the many other influential molecules.

Although a good starting point for those interested in Chemistry, more educated students will not gain any additional knowledge on the subject. It is more a history book than a Chemistry book.

Nonetheless, a must read for those wanting to increase their understanding of how our world came to be what it is today.

Well written, engaging book that essentially tells how chemistry has affected history. I read it and bought a copy for my nephew who is majoring in chemical engineering.
