Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek (PC Games, 2007)

Even though I am a strong Hardy Boys fan, I thought The White Wolf of Icicle Creek was a fun computer game. It surprised me how long it takes to play (and I'm still playing it after weeks and haven't yet solved the case). The crime is that there have been some mysterious explosions in a Northern Canada lodge. A mysterious wolf seems to show up anytime a crime takes place. Sometimes, it gets a little bit annoying when you have to worry about getting hypothermia from the cold but what do you expect in the Canadian Rockies? I'm still working on the case although I'm making progress. Also, it's a good thing that if you fail, you get chances instead of having to start over. Also, if you forget to cook a meal, it is not the end of the game either.
Here are the things you have to watch out for:
1) Don't stay outside too long- you will freeze.
2) Don't burn the food in the kitchen- it will eventually catch on fire.
3) Don't fall through the ice at the Skating Pond.
4) Don't get caught in an avalanche.
5) Don't catch a bomb while ice fishing.
6) Don't crash the snowmobile.
7) Cook all the meals and clean all the rooms.
8) Don't stay in the Sauna to long: you can overheat.
9) Don't stay outside after 5:30.

I have found that this was the most challenging Nancy Drew mystery yet. It was full of puzzles and challenges. I found the graphics very detailed and up to par with today's technology. One other great aspect of this mystery game was that there was always something or someone to talk to and I rarely got "stuck" in the game with no where to go. Anyone who is a fan of the Nancy Drew series or who likes mystery games in general will love this one! It's a must have!!

Love all the Nancy Drew Games = I've played them all. The pipe puzzle was a bit tough for me - I'm slow lol = the ending race was a blast and I mean blast lol I crashed quite a few times.

You can't go wrong on purchasing this game as it will keep you entertained for quite awhile. I got stumped and went outside looked around and to my surprise when I returned there was a note for me lol just what I needed to get going again.

My husband and I love these little games to spend some quality time together and even on the Jr level we got stumped a few times. It was the best game in quite a while. It took some real thought and had a good length.

You as Nancy Drew are sent off to Canada to look into a trail of "accidents". To keep a low profile you pretend to be the cook and maid (so you can snoop.) Hard for beginners in Nancy Drew games. Very hard to guess the **the culprit** . Worth your money though.

Nancy Drew games are the best! They are fun to play and appropriate for all ages. In this Nancy Drew game, you get to go to Canada to figure out a mystery about certain "accidents" that have happened at Icile Creek Lodge and why a lone white wolf haunts the surrounding area. Play the game as Nancy Drew to uncover the culprit!
I love this game because I'm a big fan of Nancy Drew and Mystery games. I have played all the other games and number 16 would be a great addition to my collection.

Not the best in the series, not the worst. Definitely worth playing though, because, to each his own. There were parts I really liked doing and others that I hated. When you do the fox and goose puzzle, save the game each time you get one of the animals lit up, that part took me FOREVER. But, overall, the game was pretty easy, I beat it in two sittings of about 3-4 hours each.

My daughters really had a lot of fun playing this game. It entertained them for hours! It has quickly become one of their favorite Nancy Drew PC games.

I brought this game for my computer. Thought it would be fun because my sister-in-law has them. Has brought them off ebay too. Had no problem in getting them. But I never got mine. Was not happy and still have not got my money back from it.

i like nancy drew games. i am trying to collect all of them. i hope to collect all of them. i like mysterie games and i like to solve crime.

This game has been a challenge to my girls ranging from ages 9 - 15. They have enjoyed exploring all the different places and figuring out clues just like Nancy.It keeps them on the edge of their seat but doesn't freak them out like Blackmoor Manor.

i like nancy drew games thats why i bought it. i really like mysteries. it is challageing. it has different places you go to. it really makes your brain think. and it's interesting. i like going to place to place in the game and see the diffent scenes. and i like it that she made so many. i hope she makes more. my 8 year old daughter likes them too. she thinks they are fun and challageing too. we like playing the game together also. it is awesome.

This game was great because it had many times where you didn't know who to think the bad person was. Sometimes it was very obvious, sometimes it was not. I would definately reccomend this game if you are a fan of Mystery's or Nancy Drew. Good Luck!

I have played many Nancy Drew games and have enjoyed most of them. This game is fun because you don't have to play the entire game inside, you spend just as much time outside, you also get to cook meals and clean rooms! The puzzles are a little difficult, but I play Senior detective without hints which may be why. I would definately recommend this game...it took a little longer to complete which I like and I think makes the game worth while.

I am usually very good at puzzles. However, this one (even in the junior mode) is not real easy. I am still having a hard time following the walk-throughs that I printed out. It is definatly not for the novice. There are no hints to help you either.

I received my Nancy Drew game in just a couple of days, and when it arrived it was in very good condition. I was really pleased. I have made a couple of purchaces off of ebay and have been pleased with both of them.

I thought the graphics were not as good as other games, and some of the tasks were juvenile. But the transaction itself with the seller was smooth.
