So far ahead of its time...unique and daring, Naked City is a classic TV series that showed events from all sides of the law. The nervous breakdown of an officer, beautifully developed, takes the entirety of one episode; an over-protective father who happens to be a WWII vet, continues to fight the conflict on the streets of New York--while those two episodes actually take place in Box Set 2, Set 3 is equally audacious and ahead of its time. A must have for any fan of classic TV drama at its best.

I wanted to see if this old TV series was as good today as I remembered it to be in the past. I find the drama laughable instead of serious. The series lets me see just how low-key crime was in the '60s compared to today. I am watching The Shield, The Wire and Homicide Life on the Streets. By comparison, I find Naked City to be too unbelievable and the solving of crimes to be too slow. I won't buy another box set because I'm just too bored with the one box set I have.
