Nakamichi VU50P 50 in. TV

Great specs and great performance when working. Nakamichi's USA organization is totally unresponsive to requests for service information, Some of the USA service organizations they mention on thier web site no longer exist! There are no known sources of servicing information available anywhere for any USA repair service to repair these units or any clues to where to replacement parts can be obtained.

Buyer beware. If this unit breaks you are on your own.

Weaknesses:

. The unit does not incorporate a built-in ATSC HDTV tuner. 

. It has no HDMI ports

. It is not HDCP compliant

.Component connections only allow 480P, DVI and VGA allow up to 1080i however

. May not work with current HDTV cable boxes that do not support DVI.

. Will only allow SD in composite cable connection mode

.
