A retitled and resequenced version of an album released in 1979 as BETTER THAN THE REST, NADINE is a compilation of 1974 demos that predate George Thorogood's first recording contract. These are, then, essentially aural baby pictures, but they find the band's determinedly non-purist approach to bashing out the blues leavened with '60s garage and punk influences already in place.
There are loads of entertaining performances here, in particularly a brash take on Eddie Cochran's "My Way." There's also a metallic assault on the Strangeloves' tribal stomper "Night Time" (remade on Thorogood's 1980 I'M WANTED).
