NYPD Blue - Season 2 (DVD, 6-Disc Box Set)

I really enjoy the whole cast of NYPD Blues. I didn't start watching the series untill season 6 when Bobby was dieing. I have watched it every since. I bought season 1 and season 2 so I could see what I missed from when I started. I really can't wait until all the seasons come out on DVD. In this season I was glad to see Andy get married. :)

We love most all detective movies and especially enjoyed this series. We are looking forward to seeing the rest of them. The Characters are believable and down to earth with real life situations. A truley great Series.

This season brought about many changes in personnel. It starts with John Kelly and quickly introduces Jimmy Smitts as Bobby Simone (my favorite character). Donna temporarily leaves and John takes over her position - another of my favorite characters. Also, Bobby meets Diane and they begin a relationship. The season ends with Andy and Slyvia's greek wedding. No super upsetting episodes and a close call for Andy make this an exciting season. Several funny scenes as well. I think this is my favorite of the 11 seasons on NYPD Blue.

I bought NYPD blue and I was impressed at the fast shipment. My only disappointment was I thought this was new dvds because it was for a gift. Disk 1 is scratched bad. Thank you

I, unlike many others, have always liked David Caruso's acting style, and didn't have any problems when he decided to leave the show after only one season. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.

Jimmy Smits also did his part justice and I enjoyed his performance as well. The show to me though will always be about Dennis Franz. NYPD Blue was always a ground breaking series and it became the classic it was because of Franz stuck with it and continued to build on it each season.

Season 2 was even better than the first, more action, mixed with episodes of humour, but never lost it's true calling as a new and different police drama.

Highly recommended and I can hardly wait for the rest of the seasons to show up on DVD.

This arrived to me in a qick timesly fashion. Great shape as promised. Will be a while till I watch it. Have to start w/season 1 first. Bought this one because able to get it at a very reasonable price. The series is great.

I'm born and raised in NYC. NYPD Blue is filled with NYC people, at our best and at our worst. I would guess that there are few of us who haven't had some contact with NYPD sometime in our lives. Although the situation for the most part might not be pleasant. The interaction with the police was a positive one.
NYPD Blue is a classic police drama. I saw most to the original TV broadcasts and caught many on cable re-runs. I've watched many episodes over and over. I love the acting and the intensity of the drama. It also touches upon issues that are not talked about by many of us.
I'm a real fan, and very happy with my purchase.

I ORDERED SEASON 1 OF NYPD BLUES NOW I FOUND SEASON 2. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL IT ARRIVES IN THE MAIL TO WATCH IT.

I decided to buy this because I am an NYPD Blue junkie. Season 2 is particularly good because of the addition of Jimmy Smits to the cast. His character along with the story lines are fantastic. The interaction of the characters played by Dennis Franz and Smits in my opinion is one of the finest duos ever on regular network TV. If you enjoy the cutting edge story's that this show inftoduced back in the 1990's then you'll always want to be able to go back and visit them. Even today I consider this a great break from anything that TV has to offer now.

As a fan of the later seasons of NYPD Blue [too young to watch it for most of the seasons], I jumped at the chance to own the series. While many of the cases wrapped up entirely too easily, I did enjoy the strong character development, particular Detective Sipowicz's character (played by Dennis Franz). Season 2 opens with David Caruso's character Det. John Kelly leaving,which was indeed a shame, but Jimmy Smits' character Bobby Simone fills the slot nicely. I'd recommend it to any fan of police/detective/mystery shows. While the 'mystery' component is weak, I do enjoy knowing when I'm right, and surprised when another character pops up.

This show is a great show because it has a form that it sticks to. Opens with a crime scene, carries on from there, BUT, There is also the on going stories of the regular characters that are real people, they could be your neighbor or friend. I have watched this show so long, they feel like relatives. This season was the start of the very sexy jimmy smits, He has all the women turning their heads and solves all the crimes. Gotta love this total package. And of course Detective Sipowitz (spelling, I know), such a flawed hero. It looked like he was history in the first episode of the first season, but he pulled through and redeemed himself very nicely. I wouldn't want to be his partner or wife or child however, they rarely do well. LOL. I bought this to fill in my collection which I am still working on. But it, you will love it.
