It really made the bible come alive for me in a way just reading it or hearing it read didn't. The voices are chosen with care and the bible it "expressed" to you instead of just being read. I chose to follow along with and NIV bible and just feel that I have a better understanding of it now. The music is beautiful and relaxing and added to the enjoyment. I would whole-heartedly recommend this to anyone who wants reading the bible to be an experience. Especially those of us who may have had a hard time understanding it before.

I believe the Bible to be the Word of God--the absolute truth--in a day that anything goes. The Bible is unlike any other book in that God's spirit interacts with the human spirit as we come in contact with the Word. He guides and interperts and comforts us as we read or listen to His Word. In my busy life of working full time and being involved in other things besides trying to keep my house up I decided I would begin listening to the Bible for added strength and guidance--sort of sulbiminal teaching. I bought the CD's to add to my ipod to use when I go to the gym, to listen to while I drive back and forth to work, and while I do my housework and get ready for work. These CD's are great because there is music to accompany the reading plus it is a dramatic reading. Different voices read different parts which adds interest. Everything that goes into our subconscious adds to what our conscious minds draws upon to make decisions. We must be careful what we allow into our subconscious. Fill your subconscious with TV and X-rated movies and reap a life based on those principles. Fill your subsconscious with God's Word and reap a life based on God's pure principles. These CD's are great to feed your subconscious upon. I plan to buy more set of them for our children and grandchildren. The NIV is a great version of the Bible in an understandable version of English. I highly recommend it.

As far as Audio Bibles are concerned, I think this is the best. The complete set includes 64 CD's. The reading is very clear and straight from the NIV Bible. Each book has an introduction. It's very easy to find where you left off, (each track is a chapter). Each CD is also clearly labeled.
The readings are done by several different actors. There's a soft background music that really adds to the readings.
I love to listen to mine before I go to sleep each night. It's very relaxing and puts me in the right frame of mind to meditate on The Lord.
I also use mine for daily Bible Study. I read and listen at the same time. This really helps to develop a better understanding of the Word. It also helps me to pronounce those difficult words! My Bible vocabulary has improved greatly!
The case is a study black nylon, with a zipper.
I don't think you can go wrong with this one. Zondervan offers a lifetime warrenty on this. All you have to do is register it on their website.

I personally liked the dramatized over monotone version. Music and differant voices help to hold interest. Hearing Biblical names pronouned properly is a real bonus to Audio Bible.

My wife and I bought the Audio Bible because we want to maximize our car time by listening to something that will be of benefit to us. We love the reader's voice and the intro to each book. We don't have any dislikes about the product.

This is a great dramatization and I have already listened to it once, I so appreciate the readers, they are good readers, and I am a connoisseur of talking books, I would recommend this bible to all who would like to take the time to realize God's purpose for their lives, and gain a better knowledge of him.

I'm a very curious type of person who always said that i would read the bible. Like many others school, work, Social life, and everything else under the sun got in my way to do so. So instead of more excuses I decided to get the bible on CD's. I found this set new and for a good price (ballpark $50.00). I listen to the cds in my car, and hands down this was the best $50.00 I've ever spent! The quality is amazing, the voices make it easy to follow, and the it allows the stories to come to life. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase!!!

I enjoy the peace I feel when I listen to God's word. I wanted to read the whole bible and I thought I would be able to finish it if I listen to the rest. I also wanted to have proverbs and psalms to listen to all the time. It is much easier to get through when it is read to you. Very interesting with the back ground music. This is one of my best buys.

AwesomeThe Bible on CD was excactly what we were looking for. We had priced these in the stores and on Amazon, but the winning bid price was good in comparison. I have been listening and the CD's are in good shape. I appreciate the zippered case.

NIV Audio BibleThis is the Audio Bible I have been longing to buy. I bought it from this seller at the cheapest price. The dramatized way of reading by the artists on the Bible verses makes it more enjoyable to listen and ponder on the messages. Best also for those who are no longer able to read, this Audio Bible will bring to life the most amazing Book of all time-the Word of God which is the infallible, absolute Truth and nothing else. The narrator has a slightly annoying voice. He sounded like Moe from the Simpsons cartoon. His voice inflections did not give me the impression that he fully understood the bible and the parts he did were way too dramatized.

I was a little concerned with it being an NIV standard but found the version enjoyable. The music and different voices definitely adds to the listening pleasure. I would highly recommend this product for someone who wants to listen to the Bible on CD. I find myself wanting to lengthen the drive home and to work each day.
