What can I say?! The graphics are really, really, bad! The crowd looks like paper characters! It doesn't look or feel like real hockey even on the Playstation 2! The music is Good. The sound is great. But the gameplay is just aweful! I lost $6.00 buying this crap. Its not worth paying for retail price! Stick to EA's NHL 09.
IF you like hockey games on the PS2 or any console system, grab NHL 2K5 for PS2 or just get EA's NHL 09 for Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or even the PC $19.99 version.

I bought this game and it freezes up in franchise and season mode. It will freeze when trading and seems to freeze on the #7 17 or 27 on the Calander in the Franchise mode. 2K sports knows about it and is not going to remedy it. I can not believe that this is still sold in the stores when the company KNOWS that it is a defective product. The 2K8 also freezes.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE IT WILL JUST FRUSTRATE THE CRAP OUT OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never received the item as they were still out of stock at the time of this review. I ended up cancelling the order and getting it elsewhere. Ordered it January 3 and this is February 10.

I bought this game for my 6 year-old nephew. It has the capability of plug & play which was huge. Overall fun game; the ease of use was big being that I was buying for a younger gamer.

NHL 2K9It's very authentic, even down to the fighting and slow motion shots. Excellent buy!!! Why pay top dollar in the department stores when you can get on eBay and find it for A LOT LESS than everyone else. A Must for any diehard hockey fan!!!

It wasn't AS easy as the reviews made it out to be, but easy enough that I could play along with my husband using minimal key functions. It is fun. My husband has been fixated on getting the men to fight though-which has been harder than he wishes.
