NCAA Football 09 (Playstation 3, 2008)

I've been a very big fan of the NCAA football games produced by EA Sports. I was looking forward to this game since last years game came out. I haven't really seen that many changes in this game from last year. Let's go over the pros & cons of NCAA Football 09:

Pros:
Excellent gameplay.
Superior sound & graphics.
Awesome online dynasty mode option.

Cons:
Still missing the Create-a-Team option.
No big changes from NCAA Football 08.
No Division II teams.
Too much in-game advertising.

Every year, EA and other video game franchises hype up their annual release of their sports games so much that once consumers get their hands on the game, they are disappointed that the game does not provide all that was promised. Almost every year that has happened, that is, until NCAA Football 09 came around.

One major gripe by those who play college sports video games is that the rosters do not have the players real names. No college games are allowed to have player names because that would require them to get licensing from players, which is against NCAA rules. But this year's release allows users to upload custom rosters to their EA Locker. Anyone that has online connectivity can enter any Gamertag and download these rosters! There are many gamers that have edited the players real names into the rosters and have saved these rosters to their EA Locker. Now, in every game mode (even online play!), the players real names are used and the commentators can say them all!

Along with the ability to upload and download roster files, there are 19 other features that were not in the 2008 release of this game! Such features include a new tackling engine, online dynasty, 50+ alternate uniforms, and many new tools in recruiting!

The gameplay in NCAA Football 09 is excellent as always and has improved from previous releases. All aspects of the game, offense, defense, special teams, running, passing, tackling, etc. are more realistic than ever. Also, the graphics are astounding and this game is always fun to play!

If you are looking for a college football game, or any kind of football game, to keep your itch for football between weekends to a minimum and to hold you over through the offseason, this game does that and more. You will be hooked for hours at a time and just as you think you've done it all, you discover something new and something exciting every time you power up your PlayStation 3.

So go out there and have some fun!

WOW. One simple word for this game. This game has lots of new features, and is well, amazing. Great graphics, and very addicting!!!

This is an overall great game, and should be a must have for any fan of sport video games. If you have had any version of the NCAA Football series for any console, you will want to get this game.

I love this game!! Great graphics, great gameplay, and fun new mini-games within the game. You can even load your team's real sounds and music into certain game situations. The only bad thing is the BCS and Coaches voting seems a little biased or 1-sided, but then again, I guess its a lot like the real thing!

best college football game ever graphics are insane!!!! The crowd factor the hits, big play Saturday all the way. Some would say it's better than Madden

Great game, functions are different and screws you up at first. The old buttons were better. Great buy, great seller. I typically buy this game every year and am impressed by it each time.

I usually play the Madden titles, so this was the first year I've tried the NCAA Football, and it is by far one of the best football games I've played. It has a ton of depth in the franchise mode and a ton of extras.

First of I want to say that this years NCAA Football game is much different than last years game and that is a good thing. The play calling for intense is completely different from last years PS3 version. In last years version when you played against a friend they knew what play you were picking, on this years they go to the traditional X, Box, Triangle, and I think L1. There are also some new cool things added. For one when your QB throws an interception after the play you get to guess what play the defense ran and if you guess right your QB gets a confidence boost. The second cool feature is that if your the away team and the stadium is LOUD your team doesn't always hear what play your going to run and when you get on the field they don't always do what the tells them to do. Overall I think this is defenitley worth it if you are a gamer who loves sports games!

Game is good quality no scratches

i love it now because I have my 2010 roster update but before that it was fine. Before the roster update I was blowing out teams now with the update am playing more enjoyable games.

Thanks to the long-awaited addition of an online dynasty and downloadable custom rosters, NCAA 09 is an improvement over NCAA 08. However, those are the only noteworthy changes to a game that otherwise has a little too much in common with its predecessor to feel entirely fresh. Playing NCAA Football 09 is like watching your favorite college team blow up a lower division opponent; fun, but not very surprising.

THis game i love it has some good graphics even though 2010 has better graphics this one is still one of the best games out there.

This Game is great. The actions as playing are more like a real football game. You can not always make a touchdown on every play. This game will be played by me until the game will not work any more.

I bought NCAA 09 for PS3 and was very satsified. I recieved the game very quick and was a great price. I have no complaints

Great game. Really enjoy menus and presentation. Pros-Dynasty mode is deep and will keep you busy for a few seasons. Also like the graphics and player animations. Smooth transitions. Cons- Some lag/slow down. Some player animations seem out of place once in awhile. A great buy for any college sports fan who's looking for a great way to hit the gridiron.

I love this game mostly because campus ledgend but also online mode is great!!!! But I also love the gameplay such as mascot mash up and just like everything thats in the game, it is great.

I bought this game NCAA FOOTBALL 09 and they sent me HEAD COACH 09 the wrong game.So I email the seller and he email me back and told me to send it back and they will correct it and I think thats real cool. The seller is real good by shipping real fast. Just a piece of suggestion - Me and a lot of my friends while searching in e-bay go for items with Free shipping. So maybe you can increase the starting price by 2~3$ and ship it for free.

I bought the new version of NCAA football to realize that it's basicly the same as the year before, so I traded the new one in and bought the old one.

Order came and game was not operational. Sent game back and got a full refund. Overall wasted a lot of time to end up losing shipping cost in the end.
