NCAA Football 06 (Xbox, 2005)

This is my favorite football game that, like Madden, doesn’t really go through that many changes year to year. Slight tweak here and there is about it. Sometimes that’s good, sometimes that’s bad. Consumer shells out another $50 and everyone’s happy.

The one thing that puts this game over Madden, for me, is the recruiting mode. Perhaps it’s just me but NCAA’s recruiting beats Madden’s sometimes overbearing draft mode. It’s much easier to scout and recruit players than its big brother. It’s also realistic so don’t expect five star recruits to go to Northern Arizona if USC comes calling as well. This can make it challenging to build a team from the ground up unless you play every game and stack your schedule with college football heavyweights.

That said, the new Heisman mode is a treat and is a worthy addition to the game. Give it a try or two though I find it difficult unless I’m on a good team to do anything noteworthy.

Give it a shot; they’ll be another one along next year but unless you’ve played before, you’d be wise to experience a new version every so often to keep up to date.

3/5 is actually an "average" game. However, I thought this game would be a lot better this year. Every single season I look forward to playing college football and dominating the ACC as Florida State. With the advent of online play, I can even dominate players online.

The simple fact is, NCAA is the same thing as Madden football 3 years ago. It is as if the producers of the video game just aren't given the budget or talent to product a truly beautiful football game. Some people suggest that it is because EA sports owns the exclusive rights for an NCAA game. These same people are worried that the Madden series will suffer the same fate as NCAA - go right down the toilet.

It is something that might keep you occupied for a few days. You may even get some enjoyment out of playing it. However, it is horrible for online play, the graphics are VERY SUB PAR for an Xbox system, and EA sports doesn't look like they will change a thing about it.

I like the new stadium noise feature and the big hit feature that is new to this years installment. I also like star player feature and the new option plays. I really like the new Chase for the Heismen that lets you create a player, go to the college tryouts, get a scholarship to a college depending on how well you do at the tryouts, and then try to get good stats to get the Heismen. This game is a good buy because of all these new features. Must Buy!

this game was a blast when it first came out and is still fun to play now. I'm glad i got this game again and i'm glad i can finally play it on my 360. Great game.

My son loves the game he is 11. My son asked for the game for Christmas. It is 2008 but he wanted the 2006 version so that tells you it must be pretty good.

I bought it for my son and he loves it. I buy several items for ebay all the time i think its a hole lot easier here i love the confort of buying from my home , and not having to leave my home.

Great game own lots of sports games but probably play this one the most.Improved over last years game in the passing schemes.

Wonderful game, I have nothing to say bad about the item. Bought game for my son for christmas. WONDERFUL ITEM per my son!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2006 version of NCAA Football in my opinion is the best. Graphics are nothing short of amazing and there is some new announcing to the game which makes it feel like you are at a real game. Campus Legend mode allows you to create yourself and choose a position and become the man on campus and record as much heisman attention as possible!! If that doesnt sound good to you then you could play dynasty mode!! Dynasty is awesome after every week you can look at Sports Illustrated the magazine and read about the top 25 teams, your team player of the weeks, and the heisman watch list. Game is a MUST HAVE!!! Game has the same graphics and announcing as 07 and all the same features. 07 is pretty much the same thing just $20 more!! Game is great in all catagories!! A+++++++++++++++++!!!!

I dislike . Because they have cashed my check 2 weeks ago. I have not received my game. This person I will never buy from again. I think this person should be not allowed to sale on. Because of this person . I will probably never buy from ebay again.

game is fun. i've played the series since it first came out. college football game playing at it's finest. great for multiplayer. lotsa in depth modes to choose from

even better than 05, lots to do in the game, franchise mode is awesome, always something to do while the season is going on or after the bowl games. Recruiting and training all the freshmen, beating the big teams and so on and on. Online is pretty damn good , always a match or two against someone. Theres nothing really bad about this game except the commentating gets a little repetitive after a while but i'd rather listen to lee and kirk all day then the guys on monday night football...

i liked the game before buying it thats why i looked for it on ebay and found that it was at a very good price and decided to get it. I love the game, its a very good product

First off this is one awesome game. Instead of constantly renting it I wanted to buy it. Using eBay to do so was a no brainer. Did I want to pay $50 at the store, or what would turn out to be $20 from this seller? The shipping was extremely fast, three days. I couldn't of been happier.

This game does not leave you wanting more. All the new features give you so much to play with. The race for the Heisman adds a new twist to playing through the sometimes mundane seasons. EA stays true to the college football atmosphere with all the detail in each stadium and even down to the screaming fans. I have played several seasons now and I keep coming back for more. If you are looking for a game with good replay value this is the one.

well idk if you guys know what your selling but the game i got looked fine but when i put it the new z box i bought it didnt work and there wasnt any scratches on the game. i would ask for a rfound but it only cost me 6.00 to get it, but make sure your games work

This video game was the best in the series so far as far as gameplay and graphics. It is hard to go wrong with the EA sports line, especially in football and basketball. The only thing I didn't like is the way the computer would "fix" some games and win in the last minute or second. There is a nice feature where you can practice one aspect of the game (e.g. passing or running the option).
