NASCAR 08 (PlayStation 2, 2007)

EA sports just doesn't know how to create a realistic feel in their nascar game series. Many of the tracks you can drive on the apron just as if it were part of the track. The 40 or so adjustments is over blown. Nothing like the adjustments on the nascar game Dirt to Daytona, which is by far the most realistic game I've come across. Nascar 08 , when u make adjustments for ex. tire pressure, it's for all four at once, you can't run diff. pressures on each tire. Very arcade like game. Didn't find it hard at all. U can basically drive on and off the track with no diff. in speed or handling. Had high hopes. Hadn't even wanted an EA sports game for years because of the poor game play. The controls I thought we goofy. I'm just amazed people ok'ed this game for release. 1st race I did at Daytona I won and started 43 and was in the lead within 8 laps, and it wasn't even on the easy setting. If people want a nascar game were you can make adjustments on your car like individual tire pres. & tape on grill and more complicated setups and can live with an outdated roster of drivers , I suggest Dirt to Daytona. It is the best racing sim out there for the ps2. I can't recommend nascar 08 unless u want an easy game with no challanges. It strikes me as a game for kids age 10-12. Graphics are ok but with a car that can keep up with the leaders while driving on and off the track on the apron and such , it just makes me wish I hadn't a bought it. I should have been weary buying it used after it's only been out a couple of weeks, I guess someone else thought it stunk too.

This years game is terrible for Ps2, It's very hard to pass, the steering is way too sensitive, and there is no realistic feel like Nascar 05 at all. This game is too arcade, the busch cars at Talladega go no faster then 185mph in the draft, they go faster then that in real life and the Cup cars go like 210mph in the draft at talladega, they don't go that fast in real life. When you get up to 210mph at Talladega you would think you would blow right by other cars but you don't go anywhere, the other cars go the same speed. This the worst game that EA sports has made for Nascar is the last 5 years. The graphics are great but it's not worth buying the game if nothing else is good. The Pit stops are between 18-20 seconds that just rediculous, In real life they are between 13.5-15 seconds. The car of tomorrow is slow, at Indy it only goes 180mph top speed, hardly have to let off going into the turns. There needs to be some kind of competition from another game maker because it seems that EA can only make like 50% of the game good and the other 50% bad. If someone made a game that had the realistic feel of Nascar 05 and the graphics of 08 it would be a great game. Oh yah a couple more things, you can only have caution flags with damage on, not with just visual damage like you could in 05. EA needs to change the gas and brake control back to the right stick on the controller like 05 to give the more realistic feel. The switching between teammates is just stupid!!!

You game dorks that can sit here and write a full page reveiw about how bad it sucks need to get a life....Seriously how much more realstic does it need to be...It's a video game..If you were so worried about it being realistic you should've just became a nascar driver yourself but your probaly too heavy set and you just sit around your house a find things to complain about.......This game is really good...............

this is the WORST ea sports racing game yet i can't believe they went so wrong with this one 04 05 was great 06 07 was mediocre 08 is horrible save your money people spend it on a game worth having not this freaking atari 2600 game

The game is great. All the neg feedback on it is from ppl who cant set up a car, The car of tomorrow on this is a whole new breed. Take the challenge,

Same as 07 and 06, not many new paint schemes, COT is new but no biggie. Don't purchse if you have 06 or 07.

I did not buy it but got it for rental and I loved it. I love the graphics and driving the current drivers makes me want to get it!Go matt kenseth!!

EA MUST UPDATE NASCAR 2005 CHASE FOR THE CUP TO 2008, 2009 !! oR CALL PAPIRUS RACING PROGRAMERS.

NASCAR 08 kicks so much butt it's rediculous!!! You can drive as any of your favorite drivers in the Craftsman trucks, BUSCH Series, or Nextel Cup! All drivers have real world abilities, so, in essence, Robbie Gordon kicks butt on road courses and Kevin Harvick kicks butt on all the tracks. Kevin Harvick rules.

I love Nascar & have since I can remember. It is one of the best of all Nascar Games.There is really nothing that I dislike about the game. A total diehard Nascar Fan!!!.

I am happy i bought this product. I was sceptical at first because all the game sites i went to gave this game a horrible score.It has a race now mode which is fun with a lot of tracks to choose from. Also this game has an Earn Your Stripes Mode which serves as the career mode. I have not completed it yet. So far it is chalenging but not rediculously hard. It makes you rac and you earn skill points from how you race. Eventually you will get liccences, they are required to move up to the next level of racing. The lisences are actually kind of difficult. They cost mony to scedule which you get from racing. The graaphics are not that great. The music only seems to have like 5 tracks because i keep hearing the same songs over again.

The game gets old quick just like any Nascar game, (you take left turns, you can't expect more from a Nascar game).

I BOUGHT THIS FOR OUR 14 YEAR OLD SON HE LOVED IT, HE SAID HE ECSPECIALLY LIKES THE INSTANT REPLAYS.

Going online and racing was the best! The graphics very good and this game offers many challenges. I would not have purchased this game at retail price since 09 is already out and my kids really wanted 09. If you want action and get a good price then go for it!

i now play it alot more than other ps2 games cause you can do so much stuff on it. it cam in maybe 5 to 6 days n looked brand new thanks for selling the item

Lot's of options, realistic graphics, very fun to play with for hours. Lot's of different types of Nascar series to choose from, truck, camping world and the ability to play from rookie to professional level.

very very good game i cant stop paying it1 it is so fun crashing with cars and the race is very good i enjoy it vey much! and i got so so cheap thats the best part ahaha all in all its an A+ game!

Nascar does it again! Another game to top the last game! They just keep getting better and better! They js won't stop! nope! they will always make their games even better!(like it's even possible!)

if you like any of the previous nascar games this one wont dissapoint. earn your stripes mode is fun because it focuses on you own individual performance and not trying to build a team and crew like in previous years. its fun and will keep you busy if you have hours to spare
