I've now been playing this game for 2 Weeks and it had me from the word go. The graphics are outstanding and the game itself is out of this world. Very smooth transactions, not as many video goofups as in 04 and 05. Control of the car is easier and more real like. The only problem is the fact is that in this version you seem to be moving slower so you do not have the speed sence that you did in 04 or 05. The only other complaint I would have for this version over the 05 is that like in 05 you could adjust your car and not have to leave practice and you do in this version.
The crew commands are out of this world. The transaction is smooth and you don't have to worry about your main car falling back because you left it. Your main car will hold its position but I have not had it fall back any more then 3 spots even when I was in another car for over 50 laps trying to get my team mate to the front.
Again this is the best I have seen and I can not wait untill 07 is out and see what they do with that. If I had 4 thumbs I would put them all up.
If you love NASCAR and you love to drive then this game is for you.

So your a Nascar FAN just like me 'eh? Well then you are going to LOVE this game!! EA Sports truly came through with something perfect this time. I have had this game for about 2 months now and I play it all the time. Especially after watching a Nascar race. Nascar 06 Total Team Control is all about you and your team mates. Say your Michael Waltrip and you all of a sudden crash out of turn 4. Well EA Sports now allows you to switch cars, like switching from Michael Waltrip to Dale Jr. or from Dale Jr's to Martin Truex Jr. As long as they are your team mate you can help them win. When in The Chase for the Cup mode you start off in Whelan Modified cars and when you show that you are a great driver (winning races or placing in the top 10) then they offer you a chance to prove yourself and get into Craftsman Truck series...and so-so all the way up to Nascar. You do get to create your own car and get your own sponsors...which makes the game a lot better. Another thing that is great is the action stick which can let you tell your teammate to get out of the way or block traffic coming after you. The graphics are great, a little better than 05, the replay value is a 10 out of 10. And the online expierence is quite fun. All in all if you like Nascar get this game, you won't regret this. Great game...that simple. Very fun game not to mention very realistic. Never too hard or too easy due to the adjustable A.I. Also you have control of the race lengths so they arent too long nor too short. In the new game for 2006, you have control over the whole team to improve team prestige. In race to the top mode you get to create a driver and work your way to the top of the nextel cup series. Graphics are great but do have room to improve, the graphics are no reason not to purchase this game. The sound is amazing and is very realistic. This is the closest you can come to being a real NASCAR driver. Reccomended game for anyone, even if you aren't a NASCAR fan. Hope you guys find this helpful.

Nascar 2006: is a decent racing game. It doesn't break any new ground, but it retains everything that's worked previously in the NASCAR series and adds in some team-play elements that may be fleshed out in the future.
If you love NASCAR, pick this one up. If you don't, you'll probably find better titles out there.
Good:
Racing is exciting and at times downright thrilling; race mechanics handled very well
Excellent music/decent sound
Plenty of different modes of play
Bad:
Graphics leave a lot to be desired
Limited multiplayer
It's made by EA (which means you should get it on eBay rather than buying it in the stores)

poor graphics ok gameplay
hi
i found this game very depressing to be honest the graphics were one of them and the cars were hard to control.
for example to accelarate you had to use r2 which became a pain after a while.
the good
well it was fun to bash your opponets about but thats all i can say good about this game if you like nascars then its an ok purchase but if you dont then its very poor. also the price is far too high for such a poor game i paid
$35 for it a waste of my money
overall there is some enjoyable parts to this game but if you want a fantastic game look elswhere

This is the best nascar game yet! You can be any driver in the whelen modified series, craftsman truck series, busch series and NEXTEL Cup series. There are over 50 different tracks to choose from. This year's new feature is the team communicator. This device allows you to swap cars with your teammates for example if you were Jeff Gordon you could choose one of your teammates such as Jimmie Johnson, Brian Vickers, Kyle Busch, or Terry Labonte. There are other features besides swapping cars. They are Pit now which makes your selected teammate pit the next time they go by the pits. Another is block, which makes your teammate block a car that you don't want to be up front and be battleing with you. The rest of the commands are work with me, move over, hold position, and much more. Another feature is voice recognition. This features lets you talk into your Play Station 2 console to your crew chief. For example you could tell him that you want to pit and take 4 tires or anything else you want to do. This is the ultimate Nascar game. Can't wait for 2007 and 2008!

I bought this for my daughter's 9th birthday. She LOVES it!! She and my husband race a couple of times every night. I think he may enjoy it a little more than her. Great purchase!! It is very realistic - graphics are unbelievable!

NASCAR 06: Total Team Control completely takes racing games too far and creates a fictional world of being able to just ditch one driver when he crashes, and switch to another. This game is inaccurate, false, extremely complicated and on most playstations, it is too powerful for the playstation to handle it and you'll get a glitchy picture. To sum it all up, if you want to PLAY A GAME, buy NASCAR 06: Total Team Control, and if you want to actually RACE, buy NASCAR HEAT. Thanks for reading!!!

We have owned this game for a year or so (since it first came out) and while my 15 and 12 year old boys seem to like more of the shoot them up ect., type games I have spent many hours (not really proud to admit it) letting the days cares and stresses fade into the background while building, buying, and perfecting the many race modes in NASCAR 2006. The race controls are sensitive, especially as you move up from the Rookie status but the graphics and abundance of tracks, cars and options to switch from one car to another even during a race make it a "Great Game" that I would highly recommend for any Nascar or racing fan in general

Cool game.I bought NASCAR 06: Total Team Control for the PlayStation 2 video game system and was very happy. The game continues the excellence of the Electronic Arts line of video games. They voice recognition feature is something new for this style of games. The only problem I have found is that it sometimes does not recognize what you are trying to say, but other than that, this is a good play for all ages.

My husband and teenage boys love racing! Since my husband drives fast I thought the more games we have the better! We have the racing steering wheel to go with this game and since we have other games I wanted this one! We have other NACAR Games, but we didn't have 06! So I try to get them all.

I love the graphics on this game, Whenever my son and I play it , it actually makes my heart beat a little faster just like watching the Nextel cup on T.V. It's a very enjoyable game.I recommend it. I mainly bought it for my eight year old son and I to have a little bit of fun with something we share the same interest in. My son wants to grow up to be a race car driver ,and this along with his go cart we just purchased this game kind of shows him a little bit of what it's like to be a racer.

My grandson loves it, wanted a racing game and Jeff Gordon was always his favorite until Dale Jr. My grandson was over and decided it was time for Granny to buy him something on ebay so this is what he decided on. My husband likes it too, so thats even better. Can occupy both while Im fixing Dinner or doing the dishes.
