Thought provoking and tender book
I have read about 4 of Jodi's books and this was is by far my favorite. While there is a lot to think about in reading this book, I believe the story was beautifully told from everyone's point of view and was so glad I read it before seeing the movie which I was told not to do because the ending was changed in the movie version. I have yet to see it.
If you like books with medical and ethical decisions to be made and how such decisions effect a family, this is a must read. I think the book will remain my favorite for some time. I loved the way this book ended even though it was totally unexpected.
I think the only criticism I find with her books is that sometimes I think her books could be shortened a bit without ruining the story, but admire the amount of research she does to make you think and empathize with the characters. She is a wonderful author and one I will continue to read as her books become available.
