My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult (2005, Paperback, Reprint)

This was my first Jodi Picoult book - but it won't be my last. The book details the lives and the actual court trial of a 13 yr. old girl who wants to be emancipated from her parents so that she can make her own health care decisions. This is a family torn by decisions made for two daughters - one dying of cancer, one healthly enough to be a donor. Throw in a son who is totally lost, add a lawyer who is hiding a medical secret of his own - and you have a GREAT story! The ending is a stunner!

Daughter loved it! Bought it for her for a school project and now she wants to watch the new movie coming out about the book.

This book was absolutely amazing! It raised very important questions about medical testing on one human being for another human being. It kept my interest throughout the book, and it was hard to put the book down. The ending was a complete surprise, and I love that it wasn't predictable. I bought it because I read good things about it on paperbackswap.com. I would definitely recommend this book!

This was the first book of Jodi Picoult that I read. In fact I loved the book o much I wrote the author and she autgraphed it for me. This is my all time favorite book. It will make you laugh and cry throughout. I highly recommend this book and once you've read it, you will be hooked as well. Fantastic Book and Great Author!!

One of the best books I've ever read. If it doesn't make you cry - you aren't human. Picoult writes extremely well, once I started the book, I couldn't put it down - read it in two days.

I bought the book for a college liberal studies class, it was exactly what I needed and is in great condition - no complaints!

This book is excellent. Once I picked it up I could hardly put it down. The ups and down this family has to endure is incredible. As a mother myself it really makes me think about what I would do in a situation like this. We all try our best as parents and hope that we are doing the right thing, but how can you know. It just goes to show that no matter what we do, that we should always expect the unexpected. This book is so emotional, I was crying so hard that I couldn't stand it. Very good book, and I would recommend this to anyone.

It was in a really good condition. It came quickly, but not quick enough for why I needed it. Only meaning that you should buy sooner :]

This book was recommended to me. IZt was well written and crafted. The subject matter was provocative and believable. Would have given an excellant rating if not for offensive language.

This book is excellent. The author builds the characters throughout the book so that you understand each character and their motives. At first I didn't like the separate character sections but soon I understood why it was necessary to write the book in sections. Each character has their own story which makes the book very interesting. The ending was a complete surprise.

Hard to put down. She has a way to draw you into each character & feel their pain. This is my first book by her & I can't wait to buy more-on eBay!!!

This is an example of Ms. Piccoult's finest work. An intricantly woven book from all characters' points of view, from the 13 year old girl to the lawyer, to her parents...I couldn't put it down.

I am in a book club and I it was the book of choice for May. The book was great, it was a little depressing. The syle of writing was very interesting you were able to see from different perspectives. This is the first time I have read Jodi Picoult's work and I must say it was brilliantly written and it kept my attention and I never finish a boring book.

I bought this book per recommendation of my best friend. It is a very heartwarming tale of family and struggle. I really enjoyed the different character perspectives. There is a sudden twist right at the end! Enjoy!

I bought it because the nurses at the hospital were going to read it and then get together to discuss it. I loved the book--it is well written. I almost had a hard time believing that it wasnt fiction. It certainly keeps your interest as you dont know what it going to happen next. There are so many little stories going on inside the whole picture--Jesse and his problems, Anna and her dilemia, Campbell and his real problem that you find out until the end. I never thought this book would end this way--it certainly was a surprise ending. It is a book that is hard to put down as anyone who reads it will find out. I would recommend this book to anyone. Our church reads a book once a month and then gets together to discuss it and I will recommend this book to the group. Very well written

I have read this book before so when i saw it here on ebay i knew i had to purchase it to have it as a collection. This book is so well written and if you want a book that will give you intensity, passion for life it self then this is the book. this author is so good at writing so if you want to have a favorite author or her books go for jodi picoult.

Well written, instant emotional attachments to the sisters, and you will just feel like you are part of the family. I did not put this book down. I heard this was to be a motion picture movie this summer - I'll be curious to see how close the movie is to the book! You will not regret reading this one. Even if you don't follow Jodi's other books, you should read this :) 5 stars!!

A Great book, fast read, hard to put down. I purchased it because it was the book chosen by my book club for the month of March. Loved it, a surprise ending.

My Sister's Keeper is an emotional rollercoaster of a book that leaves you examining your own ethical beliefs. One of the few books you will read that truly has a surpise ending. A great bookclub discussion book.

I loved this book, it is such an amazing gift Jodi has to shock em all with her twist in story. My favorite book by far was 19 min now I have to say I can not deciede on this one being my favorite. In this book the story of two unique close sisters one sick with leukemia the other was gentically brought into this world to save the sick sister, starting with the unbilical cord at birth. Their is one other sibling Jessie the family promblem. The story goes on to the younger sister hiring a lawyer after numerous oberations to save the sick sisters life. The family is torn and ripped by this very page turning story with one twist after another buy this book picoult fans it will leave you in tears an like all her books you will wonder what would you do. As a mother you will do anything to save your childs life, you wonder when is enough enough is that other an option. The final operation is a kidney donation in this book do you take one childs life at risk and take an organ to save the other hard choice

Jodi Picoult is an extraordinary writer. I could not put down this book. It was so moving and intriguing. She elicits so many emotions out of the reader and makes them feel close to the characters. DEFINITELY buy this book for a good and enjoyable read!

This book was full of surprises. It was a great book to read, I would tell others to read it. At the start of the book, I thought oh it is an OK story, by the middle I hated to put it down.
