My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George (1991, Paperback)

This is my favorite book of all times. Definetly a great read for all ages. The plot is very unlikly, but the storyline is so well written, that the inpossible becomes possible. Awesome book to read!

I liked this book because it's about survival techniques and what you can eat and I like that kind of stuff. This book starts off slow but once you get into it its really good. Good Buy!

I have loved this book since i was a child. the story of a boy who must survive on his own on a mountain. it is imaginative, educational, and enjoyable!

Iconic. Memorable. A book every child should read. It puts you in touch with nature, survival and the main character as if it were you. Highly recommended.

My husband and I grew up reading this book. We were on ebay one day looking for kids books for our daughter and we saw one that was in great condition. We bought it at a reasonable price and have been enjoying it ever since.

Love this book! My 11 year old son just fell in love with the story, it inspired him to build a dugout canoe, and check out things in the woods that he would have never thought about.

I purchased this book for my husband as it was a favorite childhood book of his. I found the other 2 at a sale and did not know that it was a series so naturally I wanted to have the first book from the set. It came promptly and was in excellent condition. My husband read it right away.What ever you want you can find on e-bay right?

I highly recommend My Side of the Mountain by Jean C. George for any young person or even someone young at heart. I received this book as a gift back in the 4th grade. I longed to share in the adventure of Sam Gribley who was surviving in the Catskill Mountains with only a penknife, a ball of cord, $40, and some flint and steel. My love of camping and the outdoors started with that book. This book will bring out a little bit of Sam Gribley in all of us.

Fabulous book. A definite classic that kids love full of adventure and learning opportunities. I highly reccomined it.

My husband read it and loved it as a child. He borrowed the book from the library to read to our kids. Now we have one to keep to read to our kids and grandkids years from now.

I like this book very much because I had read it as a kid, when I spent alot of time outdoors. I have gone back to that and was interested in survival skills and primitive lifestyle. I bought the book, reread it and it was all that I had remembered and I got more out of it this time. Thank you, Lloyd
