My Precious Little One [Slimline] * by Rick Springfield (CD, May-2009, Adrenaline)

My son is 2-1/2 and he calls this CD "my songs". He loves it so much that we have one in each car. As soon as we pop this in, he's quiet through the whole CD.

Being an "80's Chick", I'm a big RS fan to begin with but the songs on this CD REALLY are beautiful! The instrumentals are great and Rick's voice is very soothing. Hubby doesn't even mind listening to it!

I purchased the CD because I am an 80's girl and have been in love with Rick Springfield since I was 12 and still listen to all of his music old an new. This is not the traditional Rick style, but is much more delicate, soft and relaxing as would be expected since it is a collection of lullibies intended for his children when they were younger. This is a MUST for a true Rick fan, but I would absolutely recommend it to anyone...appropriate for any age, especially the little ears it was meant for.

We play this CD EVERY night at bedtime. Our 1 year's face lights up as soon as the first song begins. Each and every song on this CD is heartwarming, tender, loving, and fun! It's not your typical lullabye that make no sense. There is a story behind each song, a special message to your child. We found it very comforting, and fun. Our baby is still too young to 'understand' what they lyrics mean, but he loves the music, and with time will come to know these songs, understand them, and be comforted by Rick's words of wisdom. His children were very lucky to have a Dad who sang these songs to them when they were small. I'm sure they hold a very special meaning to them.
