One of my Favorite Books!
My Petition for More Space by John Hersey was written in 1974, but it almost seems as if the author could see into the future the way he addresses the overcrowding of the world and the super complexity that has been applied to the simplest of daily errands. Anyone who has ever been in a crowd where you are touching people on all sides can easily relate to the author's point of view. Carrying these ideas into relationships and into sovereignties is not as much of a stretch as one might hope in 2007-2008. There are descriptions in this book that should be cliche' everyday sayings now. I would love if more people read this book and we could use expressions such as "line panic" and "touchers", etc. and more people understood. The book is fast-paced and a quick read if you want it to be.
