From the very first time I heard Gyptian's unique voice I was sold ! He is a very conscious artist that delivers many messages through his music.
From his big hit, "Serious Times" to the other 14 songs, I rate his first CD as excellent. I decided to buy it because it was always on my wish list and also to support this young Jamaican artist.
"Ma Ma" tells a story of a hard life and his respect for his Mom. Of course then there is "You Never Know" and "Woman I Love You", two songs which show his talent in the romance department.
I got exactly what I wanted to hear and believe that Gyptian will continue to excel in his music career for a long time to come !

Gyptian is all goodGyptian has a different type of voice, kind of whiny but very likeable. Most of the songs are very good, except for the song about smoking weed. I would consider this lite dance hall. Most of the songs make me visualize sitting in a club or at a bar talking to my friends while listening to the DJ play these songs. Only a few,like "Beautiful Lady" may want to make you dance. For the young crowd, this is the kinda music you listen to when "hanging out." If the price is right, go for it.
