My Mom's New Boyfriend (DVD, 2008)

this is one of those movies although it was funny, seemed like it was made for lifetime tv.
marty has a wake up call to after dropping her FBI son off at the airport. he leaves for 3 years to return home to find his mother transformed. sexy and single she is dating guys younger than him. chance encounter hooks her up with a thief. now her FBI son is investigating the new boyfriend.

Film opens with an art heist gone wrong..travel over the waters to a suburb in the US and you see a young Man going off to...well do business for the FBI..his Mother played by Meg Ryan is fat, dowdy, crying and funny as can be..fast forward 3 years the young FBI guy returns to find his Mother has trimmed down changed herself completely..done some travelling and experienced a self awakening that changes her humdrum life, her Son has a surprise of his own he's engaged..as things begin to heat up in walks a new man in her life played by Antonio Banderas..something isn't right, he feels it, his concern for his Mother grows as he's called in to a briefing by the FBI and discovers his Mom is in loved with an international art thief..and this is where things get even funnier and crazier before it's over you will fall in love with this movie too...5 out of 5 bars!!

This movie is so funny.
I love all the characters in it and Collin Hanks is so much like his dad!
Meg and Antonio are fantastic in the movie too.
I would recommend this to anyone that needs a comedy/drama movie.

This is one of those stupid guilty pleasure movies. You don't really know why you like it, but you're entertained every time you watch it.

This was such a FUN movie! I love Meg Ryan and I've always enjoyed seeing her with Tom Hanks so it was fun seeing her act with his son. Hanks was great in the part and obviously has inherited much of his father's talent. My husband and I laughed out loud, just from many of his facial expressions when he didn't say a word or even move. He was great! Antonio Banderas was great in his part and the chemistry between him and Meg was great. It's definitely a movie I will watch again and again and again and I am glad I bought it.
