My Little Pony - The Complete First Season (DVD, 2004)

WHAT I LIKED WAS THE GREAT PRICE,AND WHAT I LOVE IS THE WONDERFULL JOY I AM GETTING OUT OF WATCHING THEM WITH MY 2 LITTLE GIRLS!I DECIDED TO PURCHASE THE COLLECTION BECAUSE OF NOT ONLY MY MEMORIES BUT TRY TO FIND THESE UNDER $100.00 DOLLARS,I COULD NOT AND THIS MADE MY MIND UP THE SELLERS WERE WONDERFUL,SHIPPING WAS GREAT! I WATCHED THESE ALL THROUGH MY CHILDHOOD AND AM STILL A COLLECTOR AND WATCH THEM AS OFTEN AS I CAN,THE QUALITY WAS EXCALLENT,PICTURE WAS INCREDIBLE,YOU COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER PLACE TO FIND SUCH AN ITEM OF THAT KIND OF QUALITY!!!

I cannot begin to express my joy at finally having these episodes on DVD after all these years. If you never watched My Little Pony, it was a little more involved than you might have imagined with actual plots and adventures rather than just fluff. There are a few episodes that are oddly dark for a show about pretty ponies but there is nothing edgier than you would see on any show aimed at young girls. My joy at finally having these on DVD, however, is overshadowed by my frustration that they finally released Rescue from Midnight Castle (or Firefly's Adventure depending on your generation) and Escape from Catrina (the DVD incorrectly spells this Katrina) but edited them. What is the point of releasing them on DVD at all if you are only going to edit them! We now have to wait for them to either re-release these two specials on DVD unedited or hold onto our falling apart VHS copies. Beyond that frustration, the production values on the actual DVD's itself are terrible. The box has weird pictures of G2 ponies rather than a screenshot from the show and the actual DVD cases have their labels put on backwards. The entire set looks like something someone could have made in his or her basement. A few fans with a color printer could have done this up much classier and we would have known to put G1 ponies on it rather than G2. I suppose this is just the nature of the double edged sword that is cartoon shows on DVD. The people making them don't seem to get that people who watched the shows as children want the entire thing and will notice if its edited. Disappointing, but not enough that I didn't fork over my $50 to purchase this set and I will definitely be enjoying these episodes over and over in the recent weeks.

I bought this DVD set for the kids that I keep and also because I remember watching them as a kid myself. The quality was great and it brought back lots of memories for me. It was a little expensive, but totally worth it. The kids loved it and have watched them several times. A great by for kids, especially 4 and under.

I bought this for my little girl but I'm not sure who gets more satisfaction between her or my wife. My wife really loved the series when she was much younger and i think it acts as a great bonding tool for the two of them. I love taht we can buy series now on DVD which is totally the way to go as we can watch them anytime, anywhere and the best part is no commercials. Excellent purchase!

When I saw this was released I was exstatic! I love watching all ofthe cartoons I watch as a little girl. Some of them I remebered vividly some I don't think I've seen. They are all awesome. One of the best buys ever!

The 4 disc set has 50+ episodes on it. It is great to be able to see several episodes within changing the disc every hour. I would highly recommend it for any My Little Pony fan.

My Little Pony has been a child-hood favorite of mine; I only had the Escape from Midnight Castle on video and was thrilled to find almost all of the original episodes on dvd. There were a few episodes that only diehard fans and true MLP would miss, but having the whole series of Fluttervalley - ooo anyone might thing I'm only ten years old (*laughs mischeviously). A must have!

Great for all those my little pony lovers out there, young and old - recommended to watch. I would rate it 5/5

This is a great collection for any little girl or for a little girl at heart. I grew up watching My Little Pony and had several dozens of the toys as a child. I was thrilled to see the series finally released on DVD. The best thing about this collection is you get the very first episodes as well as the several "mini-movies" like "The End of Flutter Valley". The episodes are fully enchanced with great restored coloration. This is a great collection for reliving your childhood or for passing it on to another generation.

Love it!! I have been a My Little Pony Fan sence I was a kid! So glad I can share this with my 3 daughters!!

People of all ages will love this DVD - I loved to watch My Little Pony as a little girl and now I can relive the My Little Pony mania with my niece!

it is very entertaining for the kids. It keeps them glued to there seats so if you have something to do around the put this in and relax.
