My Favorite Carols * by Robin Gibb (CD, Nov-2006, Koch Records USA)

All of the songs on this CD are excellent. Anyone who is familiar with Robin Gibb, knows he has a "One in a Million" voice. These Christmas standards are old favorites sung with Robin's unique deliveries and range. The song "In the Bleak Mid-Winter," is a beautiful treatment of a Christmas poem written in 1872 by Christina Rossetti for Scribner's Monthly magazine. It is hauntingly beautiful and is filled with images that harken to Christmas' long ago. His version of "Noel," which includes a plea for no more war and to save the children, is brilliant. For it is the children who suffer the most from wars. This song has a real Peace on Earth message. This album is a great collection. A real treasure chest of Christmas favorites that will be played again and again.

I bought My Favourite Carols *(CD & DVD)-Gibb, Robin because I love the BeeGees and I love to listen to Robin sing. I try to get everything that they do. I have bought 4 copies of this so far from e-bay because I am using them as gifts for others. I do not dislike anything about it.
I always get everything I order from e-bay in a timely manner and am very happy with the way everything is handled.

If you've enjoyed past bee gee recordings...you'll love this Christmas Cd by Robin Gibb. His voice blends beautifully with the music of these carols. I like the fact that he does not change any of the melodies to make them sound "different". Very traditional. Excellent!!! :)
