My Dog Skip (DVD, 2006)

we have seen this movie before and it is a family movie that warms the heart young and old ;animal lovers will love this one ..it even made my teenage grandson tear up! love love love it!!!!

I BOUGHT THIS MOVIE FOR MY GRANDSONS. AFTER WATCHING IT ON CABLE TV, I FELT THAT IT SHOWED MANY LESSONS IN LIFE, AND THAT MY GRANDSONS COULD BENEFIT FROM WATCHING IT.

This story is based on the life of the author, Willie Morris, and it rings so true. The boy played by Frankie Muniz is bullied by bigger boys and it looks as if he will be headed for the wimp stockpile. However, his loving mother brings home puppy Skip, a Jack Russell terrier (could it be a better breed of dog than a terrier ...no way) for his birthday, much to the chagrin of his father. Eventually, the father relents and the boy and dog forge a bond that lasts a lifetime. If you were moved by "Marley and Me", you will ove this movie.

I bought this movie for my parents who own a dog similiar to the one in the movie. It is a wonderful movie for any dog lover. Excellent movie for children and is one of our favorites.

I bought this movie for my wife, she if a high school English teacher and is using it to teach a Narative Essay.

I love this movie so much. I have a Jack Russel Terrier of my own (he is going to be 13 on his birthday, in November). So, this movie really moves me. This movie depicts the relationship of a boy and his dog so beautifully. The little dog reminds me so much of my dog. They really are as smart as the dog in the film. It will make you cry though because the dog dies of old age at the end. This movie is also a good tool for parents to discuss life and death with children, in a way that will help them understand that when anyone even a dog has lived a good life and died it is not a bad thing but instead, just the circle of life. Get this movie you will not regret it at all.

This is a classic. I bought it for a friend who got her first dvd player for christmas. Even her daughter warned her to have the tissue box ready.

I was very impressed on how fast I recieved the DVD. It was in new condition as it was listed.I bought the movie because it is about a boy and his dog which relates to my son and his dog. Very good movie.
