My Book About Me, by Me Myself by Dr. Seuss, Roy McKie (1969, Hardcover)

This is a wonderful book I have bought for my 6 year old son and he absolutely loves it! I bought two of these (one for my 6 year old and one for my 4 year old) and I must say it's well worth the price. The pages have drawing activities and fill in the blanks for children to write their own names, birthdate, favorite pets, favorite songs, favorite books, counting how many windows are in the house, how many buttons and zippers they own, etc., and towards the end, gets to write their own story about anything. It's basically a great fun activity book for children who at the same time also get a sense of their surroundings and their inner self. My son reads it over and over and gets excited every time! My son loves reading, writing, math, and drawing; what a perfect combination made just for young children! I loved everything about this book. There's nothing I dislike about this book. If your child loves to read and write, this is just a stepping stone for him/her to start with. Best of all, it's a great keepsake for years to come! I highly recommend it!

I would have loved to write a review of this book that I own five of. I have one as well as my husband and each of the kids. I bought one off of Ebay for the baby but the seller decided never to send it to me. The book is great and a wonderful keepsake to look through year after year but the seller is awful and doesnt send items!

I have this book that I received as a gift for my older son which he completed when he was 5. It was so much fun to complete. Now we will have those memories forever.
I am now buying one on E-bay for my younger son so he can have one too. Great fun for kids to do and a very special memory to have later. Well worth the money!

At first, my daughter saw this book, "My book about me, by me myself" in a library and she really wanted to write down the book! So I decided to buy the book at eBay. She really loves the book, because she writes most of pages and selects the most fitted answer for her!

I think the kids love it so much because they get to express themselves from their point of view. We were ab;e to do it as a family as well which created time together. GREAT BOOK!!!!!!!

This book has page after page that the child can fill out about themselves, from simple data like age, height, etc. to silly things like how many forks are in their house. They answer questions about their likes and dislikes, noises they can make, and places they have been. It is creative, imaginative and delightful. My son filled his out when he was six years old. I recently purchased the same book for my six-year-old grandson. His birthday happened to fall on Father's Day this year and I gave Daddy his filled-out book back and gave my grandson a brand new one. I cannot wait to see the answers he will put in it.

I bought this book for my son who is learning to read. The books are easy to read and the pictures are very colorful and make reading sessions very enjoyable for both of us. Plus he gets to practice on his writing skills.

My daughter is only 19 months old. She still had a blast getting her hand and foot traced. I even let her fill out the book by helping her write and holding her hand. We had to skip some pages because she is not in school yet and so on. But, the pages we did get to go ahead and fill out I just wrote the date on them so later she knows how old she was when she done them. This book is excellent fun for anyone, I may of had more fun with it than she did...! Just remember not to be to picky and let your kids enjoy it by doodling and making it special in their own way.

This is great book for a child to learn and explore his/ or her surroundings.

I recommand this very highly to anybody who as a child for pre-school and kindergarten.

My husband and I recently adopted a 12 year old boy from Russia and this will become his 'baby' book of sorts as we began to record, document his height, weight, favorite things as he can be interactive with the book and learn more about his surrounds at home too. Each year we plan to have him retrace his hand, foot, etc as he/we update the book, etc. Perhaps one day he'll share it with his own family when he becomes an adult too. November is National Adoption Month. Applause to all parents this month but especially those who chose to adopt. Amen.

Buying as gifts for relatives & neighbors, after going through my own done years ago, my kids got a huge kick out of it! Think kids will enjoy filling it out and it's a fun family activity!
